A real must for a special dinner. The excellent service started with the fast valet parking and being greeted by name on each occasion of interaction. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend trying this for a great dinning experience.

We have selected the restaurant based on recommandation of Westin hotel. It is a good choice, a bit expansive but the food was excellent. You can select wines at very different price levels. I have had lamb rack perfectly cooked (pink) and well served. A good quiet address before going to bars listening live music!

Delicious-but not quite a 5 for the money. Good service-but not very cheery...for the south. Amazing building- but needs more decorating. 4/5

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of our restaurant. I am glad that the service was good, and I am surprised that your server was less than cheerful. We take pride in hiring professional servers who "fit the bill" for showing true southern hospitality. I'd like to address the issue quickly and would love your feedback.... More

The Standard has the best rack of lamb that I have ever tasted. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The fried green tomatoes were good but not excellent.

Over-cooked steak, sent back and new steak was the same. Hash-browns extremely salty. Sea bass was just okay. Restroom in need of painting and cleaning. Service was fine. I wanted to love this place, but, we were disappointed.

We had been at a convention at a nearby hotel from early until 6.30pm and asked the concierge to find somewhere local to eat. He came up with this place which is a lovely period house built in 1843 and restored to that style. The menu was quite small but varied, the service was excellent the food was very good... More

Upon recommendation for native Nashville friend, I had a late breakfast here. You wouldn't guess they serve breakfast from the outside but we were so glad we went. It was my best meal out of 4 days in Nashville. The horse shoe bar was cool as was art and vibe. I had a veggie omelette with remolade, cheesy grits and... More

Thank you so much for the kind review, but I believe it belongs to another restaurant. We don't serve breakfast at The Standard. Kind regards. Billy Corr Operations Manager The Standard at The Smith House More

The Smith house is the only brand townhouse remaining in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. I believe it was built in the late 1840s and it is absolutely spectacular! Coming to the standard restaurant at the Smith house in Nashville is a must. Even if you just stop in for a drink to enjoy the atmosphere. We made our reservations well in... More

Tall ceilings, long drapes, 1840's period furnishings faithfully restored. Menu was elegantly presented Southern favorites. We shared the Fried Green Tomatoes with Lump Crabmeat as appetizer. Think short stack with crabmeat layers. Tomatoes were firm, breading crisp, and crabmeat moist. Entrees were Bacon "Bacon" Duroc Long-Bone Pork Chop (most tender and flavorful with sweet corn succotash and Benton bacon), and... More
