We went for dinner during the Christmas period. We booked online the day of our visit.
The decor in the restaurant is elegant. The vertical wine cellar is cool and ultra-modern. The serving team was professional, helpful, and cordial.
The food was delicious. I had pasta, which was perfectly cooked, with a delicious sauce. My partner had spaghettini with meat balls and he raved about it.
The wines by the glass were fairly expensive, but the quality of the wine was good. The garlic bread was delicious and VERY garlicky.
We find most restaurants too loud, and this place was typical of many. It was good that the tables were not too close together, as the higher ceilings may increase the noise level at very busy times.
We felt that the prices were appropriate for the type and quality of food received. The service was very good and the decor was very appealing. This restaurant is across the street from the Bridgestone Arena, so is probably quite busy during events.
We would recommend.

Half a block off of Broadway so easy to get to. We loved the calamari and the Caesar salad. For entrees we had the chicken which was delicious and the shrimp which was five huge prawns with a very nice subtle sauce lined up like they were on a skewer over pasta and greens. Initial wait staff was more interested in a larger table but someone else took over and did a fine job.

I’m so glad Trattoria was open on Easter Sunday. I was absolutely thrilled to be with our family for Easter again. Great wine and cocktail list. Staff is friendly and helpful. We were able to social distance from other patrons. The salmon is absolutely amazing. The chef can prepare any pasta as a small portion for kids. You must try the tiramisu!

Saturday night ate in the Italian restaurant where we were staying in Hilton Nashville, Trattoria Il Mulino. Had good pizza and their wine selection was better than most. However our waiter was not friendly and very snobbish. When a large group sat behind us and ordered a triple magnum (it was huge) of red wine, he suddenly became very attentive to them and totally ignored us. We finally had to ask one of guests in the large group to ask our waiter to bring us pepper flakes for our pizza. Our waiter brought us a bowl of the flakes and practically threw it down on our table. Guess he was annoyed that we had asked another guest to give him our request as he was totally ignoring us. But we had no choice if we wanted to have our flakes before the pizza was cold! We did speak to the maître d' as we were leaving and described our unpleasant experience with our waiter. He was very apologetic and said he would certainly speak with him.

I just moved back down to the area and came into grab a bite to eat. My expectations were high because I've lived in Northern Italy for some time. When I walked in, the host asked me if I had a reservation, and when I said no, he immediately said that they were full. Now I know the rules are different during COVID, but they were nowhere close to full there was an abundance of seating and socially distanced space both inside and outside. I believe the host behaved in this manner because I am a person of color. It is disgusting to see that this type of behavior still exists. I'm not the type of person to jump to conclusions, but this man clearly did not want me to eat at the restaurant, and it was evident in his body language and tone of voice. Really a shame that we are still dealing with this kind of thing in 2020. Do Better.

First off, better Sirloin at Texas road house, drinks are terrible, but the desert was atleast average. You would think a group of 20 would have been treated with very good service but we were not. The bill was not able to be split so we spent entirely to much time trying to justify how much food each person ordered. Just because 2 people didn’t show up we still had to cover their bill? This establishment is very different any very over rated.

We visited Trattoria for dinner on Saturday, 08/13/2022. It was our first time to visit the restaurant. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant was beautiful, and we had a good table. Our waitress came over quickly but was rushing us to order before we even had a chance to look over our menus. I knew what I wanted, but my husband hadn't decided. I vaguely mentioned we might order a bottle of wine depending on what dish my husband ordered. The waitress immediately started waiving someone else over who supposedly was a wine expert. I didn't ask for help choosing wine. Funny thing, while the "expert" was pointing out a few choices, she mentioned something like she didn't know much about wine. I might have misunderstood what she said, but I don't think so. Then the waitress came back over, and my husband kept trying to tell her that he was still undecided what he wanted because they weren't giving him time to look over the menu. He decided and we placed our orders which included a bottle of Shafer 2012 wine. Bread w/spread was quickly served which was delicious. Our water glasses were kept filled. When the wine was brought out, I was shown the bottle and given a bit to taste. It was very good, so wine was poured for each of us. Our entrees were then brought out and they were both very good. My husband got the seafood dish w/a side of pasta, and I ordered the shrimp dish. While we received good service at the start, that slowed toward the middle of our meal, but it really didn't bother us. I visited the lady's restroom and had quiet a shock. The TP holders were half hanging on the wall in 2 stalls, there was TP all over the floor, and the toilets were unflushed in 2 stalls. I asked my husband what shape the men's bathroom was in, and he said it looked fine. After we checked out, I asked for my leftovers to be put in a to-go box. We also asked for our leftover wine to be "bagged & tagged" to be able to take it with us as well. All this was done very quickly. Funny thing though, even though we didn't notice it while we were in the restaurant, we noticed at the hotel that the wine we were served was Shafer 2021 and NOT the Shafer 2012 that we ordered mainly because that was the one the "expert" pointed out that was the best to pair with our dishes. I'm sure there is somewhat of a price difference between the different years. We aren't from Nashville and were just there for one night. I would have definitely given the restaurant a better rating if we hadn't been so rushed to order and the "wine expert" hadn't made such a huge and costly mistake with our wine. When we visit Nashville again, we will probably give this restaurant one more chance since we did enjoy the food. We will be a little more careful in making sure that we are correctly served what we order, and we will also ask for a bit of breathing room while we decide on our own what to order.

We went for dinner before The Beach Boy concert at the Ryman. We had an early reservation so we did not have to rush through this wonderful dinner. Derek made my great chocolate martini.
We usually just have pasta, but tried the chicken parm this time. It is very big and enough to share. I think that will now be on our list of favorites. Caesar salad to share as a starter. I think theirs is the best and priced right at $10.00
Our favorite server Melissa was there and took excellent care of us as usual. Rinaldo and Nick the managers always welcoming and nice. We never miss the chocolate gelato for dessert.

Extremely Perfect... Super Clean, Excellent Service, Reasonably Priced for the location. My steak was cooked just as ordered, tender and juicy, delicious. My wife's pasta plate was fantastic, the sauce was well balanced and full of flavor.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal at this establishment. We sat at the bar as we usually do when we travel. We have met some very interesting people. The bartender was very helpful in choosing our wine. We picked a light Italian Pinot noir but he suggested we try a valpolicella. He offered a sample of both and he was right. The valpolicella had so much more flavour and was less expensive! BONUS!
We shared a house salad which was perfect for us. There was a mixture of fresh greens, onions, heart of palm, olives, tomatoes. We both choose the salmon and it did not disappoint. It had a bread crust that was minimal adding a little crunchy texture but not smothering the fish. It was cooked perfectly and was resting on a bed of julienned vegetables with lemon butter. The vegetables were crisp and fresh.
We left very pleased as the food was delicious and just the right amount for us. We would recommend it to anyone .

My husband and I dinner here while in Nashville. It was one of the best Italian meals we have had.
I had the soup of the day, white bean, bacon and ham for my entree I enjoyed Fettuccine Alfredo, my husband had fried calamari, then a mushroom and truffle pizza, everything was perfect! We had gelato and cappuccinos for dessert.
Mattie and Benjamin took care of us. We could not have asked anything more. Perfect night, thank you

We went to our favorite restaurant for New Year's Eve. We knew we would have a great time without the pitfalls of the usual disappointment of so many places on this busy night.
We were greeted by Rinaldo, their wonderful manager and Nick, the other great manager. Melissa our favorite server was there as well. Seating is so comfortable, unhurried and relaxing. Derek my favorite bartender wasn't there, but the staff with Jason made my wonderful chocolate martini.
For starters I had the most delicious mushroom soup, their soups are always fresh and tasty and this one was just that. My husband loves the burrata. Instead of pasta, which is hard to pass up, I had the rack of lamb. I have had it before and it is some of the best in Nashville. My husband had the spaghettini with meatballs, that or rigatoni is his favorite. Gelato for dessert, a must have for us.
I am so happy to see the glowing reviews for Il Mulino. They are well deserved for this fabulous restaurant.

Visited three times during a recent conference - for drinks and dessert, and for lunch. Each time staff and service was excellent. Wine selection was excellent. Food was very good, authentic Italian with emphasis on flavor and great execution. Would not hesitate to return.

We have enjoyed our work week in Nashville, sampling various venues each night, but on this last night before home, after walking around still sightseeing but trying to decide on a dinner spot we entered this fine Italian restaurant at first unable to get in with reservations backed up all night. Then a couple left the seating at the bar and there we were. God’s timing and favor upon us was perfect. 🙌 Great and friendly service, and the food was of course, most excellent. Thank you, Flori, Louis, and staff for a most wonderful close to our week. I hope we can meet again at Trattoria il Mulino! First time to Nashville. Won’t miss it next time!
