This restaurant is located outside of the downtown area ,in quite suburbs of Nashville. Huge plus.

Having just arrived in Nashville from Manchester we wanted a small restaurant offering something different. We could not have been more pleased. The service was excellent as was the food. My husband commented that his dessert was the best he’d had in a long time....More
Located in an up-and-coming area a few miles from center. Food is a southern take on West Pennsylvania / Amish comfort food (birthplace of chef). Its much, much lighter than the heavy German dishes though. We had beet salad (superb), vegie fried rice (delicious) and...More

All our restaurants are very busy. We have been to Josephine’s several times and have never had any trouble having a conversation, be it 2 or 4 people. Maybe because we have never seen huge parties there. The main dining room is not too large, maybe that is why. There is also dining on the other side of the bar, we have never sat there. We prefer the main dining room where you can see 12th Ave. and the long lines for Jeni’s ice cream next door.
