Definitely a local dive. It was ok. Nothing special. Regular size sandwich had barely no meat. Sides were good. On a hot day like yesterday wish there was stronger fans for seating area. Hard to enjoy the meal when your melting from heat.

Gotta say, we were a bit surprised to see the restaurant itself. A small area was fenced in with a few picnic tables, which would have benefitted from a good wipe down. We walked up to the window and placed our order for ribs only...no sides. The ribs were ready within a very short period of time and they were... More

Tried Hog Heaven twice recently for lunch. I love BBQ and this place was a short walk from my hotel (and had good reviews). Ordered the pulled pork plate the first time and spareribs the second. The food was pretty good. I especially liked their version of cornbread (a round, flat disc) and the cobbler (peach and chocolate were both... More

Met friends here on the recommendation of a local Uber driver. Usually we love hole in the wall places and this is. Food comes out the window and there are 2 picnic tables under cover just off the street. Fine so far. Fingers crossed. Warning sign #1 I asked what was fresh off the pit and the young man in... Ate here after a morning at Centennial park. Yummy BBQ. Whole family enjoyed their BBQ-we tried beef and park. Sweet tea was good too. Rose our bikes here from the park, quick and easy location. Reasonable prices. Ate at picnic tables outside.

On recommendation of some Nashville policemen, we picked up five pounds of barbecue here for a post-graduation party at Percy Priest Lake. It was fantastic. My favorite was the pulled pork and the chicken. Their special white bbq sauce is truly wonderful, but the traditional is delicious, too. Seriously, try this place if you love good barbecue.

We picked up lunch at Hog Heaven, a bbq joint that has been around the area for over 25 years and is famous for its “Kickin’ Chicken” white bbq sauce. There are a few picnic tables at the restaurant, but if you can’t find one, Centennial Park across the street is the perfect place to have a bbq picnic.

I visited Hog Heaven for the first time in about 6-7 years. My return visit here was what I expected, and was of the same, good quality and value that it was many years ago. The quantity of food is appropriate in regard to price. My pork barbecue was hot, fresh, and tasty. I will return to have lunch here... More

Nice gem of a find! I was in town for a conference and this was great! So tired of the fast food chains and this place was a great BbQ comfort food. Believe me I will return.
