Took almost 2 hours for a meal when restaurant did not appear very busy. I've had bad service here before, but nothing like this. Waiting on a server to double as a hostess should have been the first tip that something was off. Server didn't...seem to know how to take an order, fill drinks, or bring the check after being asked. If I had tried to pay with a credit card, I'm sure it would have been there 2 and a half hoursMore

I had a take out order. Paid and left. Later I realized they had charged me twice for teh same meal. I came back and treid to explain. Then several more staff came up. It is considered rude in my culture to speak in a...language the person involved can't understand. Anyway, they called somebody on a cell phone. Said my refund would take 5-7 days. I never got a refund nor an apology for the mistake and my time. Now I got to Guacamayas. It's ten miles out of my way but SO much nicer.More

Went there with my granddaughters. My husband had the beef nachos and I had chicken and beef fajitas. The nacho’s were ground beef mixed with cheese product and glooped on top of chips. My husband said he felt he was eating dog food. I tasted...them and it was awful. I had the fajitas... the meat was over cooked to the point of being nearly burnt, super dry.. I certainly won’t be back.More

If you check my reviews, you’ll see I rarely leave a one circle review. It this case I felt it was necessary. The family has been going to Las Palmas for the last 25 years. The food and service are now suffering. Chip sizes are...now are small. This might be good for one or two people but for a family of four, we kept running out of chips and it took forever to get them. The service is loose, slow and at times a little weird. We waited long times for food and the drink refills. On a previous visit, there was short in height waitress with long hair that got an attitude with us because SHE brought out a wrong order. A complete b***h. She tried to change her attitude as our meal went along but too little too late for loyal paying customers. The poor service in combination with bland cheese, skimpy proteins, and NO SALT OR PEPPER on the table has been enough for us, we’re done.More

We have been coming to Las Palmas for more than 30 years. The service was terrible only one server for the whole place. My cheese quesadilla was burnt. We had to keep asking for chips and salsa. Overall the food was good but service atrocious....Not sure i will be coming back.More

We went to Lunch today and got Enchilada dinner and Burrito. The Beef Burrito was just Ok and the Enchiladas were awful, especially the sauces because beef and Chicken have different Sauces both Awful. Service Ok. Would not get those two meals again l, but...have gotten at other Las Palmas's Fajitas and Street Tacos which are Good so may try those, at this Restaurant. But Loved the Beans, Rice and Salsa and ChipsMore

Agree with the June reviewer -- service is subpar. I ordered a beef enchilada but received cheese. Barely an apology and it took a long time for the replacement to arrive. Waited over 15 minutes for our check when we were finished eating. Guacamole was...fresh and tasty.More

Honestly, the food here is pretty good for your standard Mexican fare, but every time we come here, the service gets worse and worse. They just don’t seem to care anymore.

Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant has a great dinning room, a nice patio, and great bar. Their food is excellent and it is served fast. I don’t think we waited more than 10-15 minutes on a Saturday during lunchtime. It was super quick. The bar is...gorgeous. There is a beautiful mural on the wall and the lighting is just right. They have a wonderful selection of liquors and serve up delicious margaritas. In the summertime it would be nice to enjoy a flavored margarita outside on the patio. If you enjoy Mexican food and are in the area, you will not be disappointed stopping at Las Palmas.More

This is my go to weekly date night place. My wife and I always ask for Gerardo or Cesar to serve us. Love the food, the service is superb and the Margaritas (for Medicinal purposes only) are amazing. It is rare to find a neighborhood...place where if you miss a week or two...they make you feel like you were missed. I highly recommend it. Consistently excellent and a neighborhood treasure!More

Loved the atmosphere, service good, food bland. The mixed veges were straight from freezer to microwave. No Mexican flavor in main dish. Salsa had a ketchup taste. Fast foodish.

This restaurant is always busy and for a reason. The food is quickly made and served immediately. The menu is extensive but slightly over priced for the portion sizes and the dishes and utensils provided. This restaurant has a very casual feel. The staff seemed...to be unprofessional at times while in the door to the kitchen, snapping kitchen towels, shoving and horseplay and was distracting while eating. My fish tacos were amazing and my waiter was very polite. I enjoyed my meal but was not impressed by much of anything else.More

I love Mexican food and Nashville has many authentic Mexican places to eat. So, unless Las Palmas just happens to be convenient for you at the time, don't expect a lot. The food is fine, but over-priced with small portions compared to most other restaurants...in the area. The service is fine and the servers are pleasant. The Salsa is a bit boring as well. I had the Top Shelf Margarita and it tasted like it was made from a powder mix. Once again, over-priced. However, this establishment has many locations and has been in the Nashville area for many years, so they must be doing something right. :)More
