The Capitol Grille at the Hermitage offers a beautiful, inviting, exquisite setting for a delicious meal. Food is good, even though not very diverse. People are very nice. Service is sometimes slow.

The service at the Capitol grill was nothing short of exceptional. The menu was a surprise, unique parings and uncommon dishes. Just a bit pricy for the entire package but most convenient.

This was almost un edible. The pancakes were awful and my wife took two bites. She did like the grits. However, when you leave an entire plate of pancakes on your plate and your server never even asks if there was a problem, that is a problem. I had the eggs benedict and for the first time in my life... More

We've eaten at many fine dining establishments on our trip through the South, and really don't mind paying well for exceptional food. Our dinner here was the HIGHEST priced meal we've had during the pass four weeks, and as far as taste and quality, it was slightly above average. It, however, was not worth what we paid. Staff is very... More

Was staying at the Hermitage Hotel and decided to eat in the Capitol Grille which is located there. Very nice and beautiful restaurant with attentive staff. I had the grilled elk which was fantastic. Was with another family and both of us had children. Differently not a place for them with a lacking children's menu. May not be to some... More

The elk was wonderful. Two in our party had the elk and loved it. The filet wasn't up to par, and the Mac and cheese wasn't a favorite of the kids. Complaints all around with food quality except for the elk. Not a place for the kiddos, even those youngsters with adventurous pallets.

For our 9th anniversary, my wife and I wanted to eat somewhere nice in Nashville on our last night in town. We had walked the Nashville Ghost Tour the night before and it started in front of the beautiful Hermitage Hotel. Inside the hotel is the Capitol Grille restaurant. Not to be confused with the chain (which is spelled Capital... More

Breakfast was perfect. From excellent service to wonderful food. Didn't make it in for dinner, but did dine at the Oak Bar which is adjacent and share the same dinner menu. Dinner the evening before was fresh blackened Mahi and it was superb.

Pros: Onion bisque was very good; fries were among the best I’ve ever had (thin, crispy, well-seasoned); very convenient for a pre-TPAC meal. Cons: When I checked into the restaurant, the host asked if I wanted to sit in the adjoining Oak Bar, but did not tell me that my OpenTable points would not be awarded if I chose that... More
