This place is a throw back. Decor looks like its from the 70s, but its kept up nicely. Good value. Daily lunch specials for about $8. Nice selection of sides. Looks like it does a brisk business serving locals and regulars.

Had dinner there one night during my stay in Nashville. Went based on some reviews I had read in the hotel room information book. Wasn't impressed with their trademark homemade burger on French bread. But their chocolate cake dessert with ice cream was to die for. It was so good, it warranted a second visit, just for the dessert, and... More

As we are travelling across the country my wife wanted to share her favorite lunch spot with me that she frequently ate at while attending Vanderbilt. They have a very affordable lunch selection and very tasty sandwiches and burgers. I tried their signature sandwiche and was very delighted. Definitely worth a try

Walking into this Nashville staple started in 1945 is like entering a time warp. Don't let the atmosphere fool you, the food and service are both great. They offer a large variety of "meat and three" type options in addition to their set menu. I had the burger that "made them famous;" the cheeseburger on French bread. I added pimento... More

We saw this place on a tv show on the food channel. It is a little old bar with the best burgers in town. Every part of the sandwich was fresh. They use home baked breads. We watched the guy cut up the vegetables to put on our sandwiches. Everything was fresh and good

We loved our dinner at Rotier's. It was our first night in Nashville and a staff member at our hotel recommended this place. Everything is made from scratch and the service was great. Don't leave without a shake, it was the best part of our meal!

I was hoping this place was one of those local institutions (dives) in which you discover amazingly good food. It is pretty good, but I would not call it amazing. My steak sandwich and onion rings were pretty good, and were reasonably priced, but not exceptional. It definitely is a hole in the wall and likely has a loyal following... More

We had come to Nashville for a doctor apt at VA hospital, and had heard about this place, so gave it a try. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, and fried okra. The roast beef was more like pot roast which is ok. I liked it very much. Hubs had the hamburger steak, with the same... More

Diving through Nashville, I got off route 40 and figured I would take a walk around Vanderbilt to stretch my legs and came upon Rotier's. The decor is classic 60's or earlier. I bellied up to a small counter and had the best fried chicken ever. Service was friendly and price was reasonable. Highly recommend if your looking to fill... More

This was my first time to eat here but it has been here for years. Near Vanderbilt, Centennial Park and a number of hotels. A classic meat & three. Dark interior, small downhome place. Came in tired one night and ordered meat and 2! Had fried chicken, baked potato and slaw plus cornbread and iced tea for about $10. Server... More
