I was in the area and needed a quick bite to grab to go. I was really impressed with the food quality and how quickly it was available. Would try again!

Recently I was in town for just the day and asked Siri for a Thai place near me... Satay Thai popped up and I'm glad it did... I ordered the Panang Curry which came with a small bowl of clear broth soup, white rice (generous...portion) and a small spring roll with dipping sauce. I got an ice water and the whole meal was under 10 bucks. When I ordered the man asked what spice level I wanted (1-5).. I thought about three but decided to go with two. I am glad I did.. the food was delicious but I think if I had ordered anything more than a two I would have caught on fire right there. Excellent place and when I am in town I will be back. Surprisingly good little place filled with students. Had a soup that was fresh hot and delicious. Good service and quick. Busy!

The whole family loved their halal food. Basil chicken fried rice were smoky YUMMY! Highly recommend it, and can’t wait to try more items from the menu.

Needed a quick bite to eat while wondering in the Vanderbilt area. The restaurant is very basic with no frills and counter service. The individual who took our order was patient and explained the menu. The fried rice was ok and basil chick pretty good....The egg rolls were underwhelming. The entire meal was under $20 for two. We left feeling full and happy. Good people watching as they were a wide range of people eating—locals and college students. All in all it did the job. Definitely not bad but not the best Thai food. If you are a very discriminating Thai foodie I would suggest that you should pass as it is pretty basic food.More

Halal pho and satay! Couldn't be happier! And it's right next to Vanderbilt too. This student-friendly Asian-street-food outlet caters halal meat for certain dishes (only those specifically stated in the menu; do take note not everything is halal, and they do serve pork dishes). Prices...are pretty reasonable too.More

We ordered lunch for 5 and received what I consider the worst Thai/Chinese food I have ever eaten. The orange chicken is pictured, had maybe 6 pieces of chicken that tasted like they were fried in year old grease. The batter on the chicken was...very thick and had no flavor. It was so bad that we had to remove it to eat the chicken (see pic) At nearly 11 dollars I would expect more. Do yourself a favor and do not stop or even consider ordering from here.More

I'm not a regular with Thai food, so I really didn't know about the levels of "heat" in the food. Based on a scale of 1 to 5, diners can select the spiciness and heat level of their orders. My husband and son who like...their food hot were more than challenged with a Level 2. I ordered the Pineapple Curry. It was tasty, but I'm not so sure I would order it again. I felt something was missing. The fried rice comes with egg. One has a choice of ordering their entrees with fried or white rice. I can say that the restaurant provided a more than ample portion size for the price.More

So-so food with average prices and better to carry out than sit and eat. Strip mall quality food. We usually go on down to Lemongrass and have great food. This was across from the h hospital where I was and thought it would be quicker

It's good place if you are looking for take away when you are running out of options. Food will not leave Thai taste at the end of your meal. Good menu with nice choices but taste isn't to die for.
