Went there the evening of the rock 'n roll half-marathon as an indulgent splurge and it didn't disappoint! It was fun to have front row seats to excellent food preparation and presentation. We were spoiled with one hit after another!

My wife and I were given an evening at The Catbird Seat as a pre-Christmas present. What a treat! The start is very self-effacing. One walks into a small room, with an elevator at one end, where one waits to be fetched upstairs. This is a restaurant, with some of the sharpest cooks in Nashville, where reservations must be made... More

Visited Catbird with two old college friends and it was perfect for a start of a fun night in Nashville. Not a cheap meal but certainly worth the experience. Food was outstanding. Good variety. Serving sizes were smaller but appropriate. You will leave satisfied but not stuffed. The atmosphere accommodates both dressy and business casual attire. Nice jeans and a... More

Came to Nashville yesterday to celebrate my son's birthday. For a young adult he is a foodie. Being a New Yorker, as well as a traveler, have had a lot of great meals so was interested in something special. So upon reading reviews decided to take my son to The Catbird Seat. A few items to tell prior to talking... More

Prior to our dinner at The Catbird Seat, the best meal I ever experienced was at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London a couple of years ago. This surpassed that amazing dining experience. The Catbird Seat may not be for everyone, but it was for me, and the four other people dining with me at this unique, artistic, and most of... More

Went with another couple to celebrate my husband's significant birthday. 2 of us were vegetarian and the Catbird accommodated us splendidly. The menu was incredible - very creative as well as visually appealing. The meal is an event - each dish is explained by the various personable chefs with Chef Ryan as the creative talent behind the menu. We opted... More

(This is the same review I submitted for Bastion, another restaurant in the Strategic Hospitality Family. You'll see why when you read it. The photos, however, are unique to Catbird Seat.) My husband and I are older foodies. We've been known to hop on a plane in order to enjoy the best, the hottest, the most talked about. Chez Panisse... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the start, it felt special. Walking in the door to the tiny holding room and being taken up party by party in the elevator felt like being admitted to an exclusive club. Everyone working there was so friendly and welcoming, and though the food is like nothing you've ever eaten... More

My friend was organized enough to get us a reservation at this mysterious resto. It was totally worth it! The food was creative, delicious, beautifully presented and perfectly portioned. The team made us feel like they were our own personal chefs, cooking for us, at the counter in our kitchen. We especially loved their passion for the work, the result... More

First one must study the instructions and be organized enough to book on line when reservations become available about one month in advance. Get ready for eating around the cooking island and watching the chefs prepare a number of creative and delicious dishes using both common and unusual ingredients. Everyone is friendly and dedicated to creating a delightful experience. Even... More
