On our quest for a good burger in Nashville, this place has been on our list for a long time. We finally decided to try it and we’re very pleased. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the friendly staff...behind the counter and in the restaurant with smiles and welcomes. We ordered a couple of different burgers, both single and double patty and they were very good as well as the fries we had with them. The waitress even threw in a shake for free since the line had grown a little bit long and so that was a very nice touch to the already very friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends and relatives about this little place.More

A coworker took me here for lunch. Absolutely loved the hamburger. The picture doesn't do it justice. The two patties, and buns made for a burger that was over 5 inches tall. Everything was hot and fresh. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The service was...excellent. And the staff thanked US for coming in as we were leaving. Heck, I thanked them for a fabulous lunch. I ate a lot in Nashville over a 3 day period. This hands down were the best meal that I had over a 3-day period. Someone once told me, if you see firefighters and police officers eating at a place, it's good. Yep, multiple firefighters and police officers were circling through to get their lunch while I was partaking in the best burger and fries that I have had in years!More

I've been eating there since they opened. What a wonderful place to eat and talk and laugh. Staff is just unbelievably nice and make you feel like old friends. Food is just good. Not fancy. Just good.

I had the chicken burger w/ sweet potato fries, my husband had the chili burger and regular fries. The food was very tasty. It's an older establishment, but filled w/ atmosphere, outside dining, friendly staff, very helpful to the 'new kids on the block'. Variety...of yummy sauces to dip your fries in or pour over your food. I had the Chipotle Mayo and it was good, but a bit spicy for my palette. My husband said the burger was delicious. We will definitely go back!More

This place is a small restaurant with fantastic service and friendly workers. The food is fresh, made to order, and the quality is out of this world. You definitely want to grab a burger here!

We were in Nashville to take my daughter to the Adventure Science Center. I noticed that there was a burger joint around the corner when I was looking at the map. So we decided to go to Gabby's. When we pulled up to the place...there was limited parking, no big deal in this case as there was two spots open. But when we went inside there was even less seating for a family of three with a 2-1/2 year old. No big deal again beacuse when I ordered I said make it to go because they have a table outside and there was anothere group choping down their grub around their car. After we placed our order I was just waiting inside while it cooked and my wife and daughter went outside to run around. All of a sudden a four seat table was open and we were able to take our to go order and eat inside versus the car. We ordered 2 Gabby burgers, potato fries, sweet potato fries, and a childs burger with fries, two drinks a juice box which costed around $41 with an 18% tip included. The bugers were spot on with the right amount of being juicy but not over-the-top-greasy. The fries on the other hand is a different story: the potato fries were soggy and the sweet potato fries were over cooked. Besides the burger hitting it to the moon, the fresh squeezed lemon aid was perfect. And finally all the staff was friendly, they loved what they are doing, they helped everyone no matter if it was taking an order, small talk while waiting for your food, or that farewell as you exit their home and their family that has just adopted you and your family.More

Beyond mediocre. Patty wasn’t seasoned at all. Bun fell apart after one bite and was cold. Was very excited to try this place but perhaps post covid it’s not as good as it once was.

Excited to try and service was okay. Food was nothing special. Burger had no seasoning and fries were grease...a paper bag of grease. Disappointed that this burger was found when Googled "best burger in Nashville".

As the title states " not all burgers are created equal" we say at the counter less than five feet from the grill. They had a proactive glass to keep me from crawling over and grazing on the burgers like some hunger dog, wonderful staff!

Visitors to Nashville won't find Gabby's unless they make a concerted effort and their hunger pangs align with when Gabby's is open – it's only open for lunch (except on Fridays when it's open until 7:30). The grass-fed burgers and fries are over-the-top. The place...is loaded with authentic Nashville personality, but be warned if you're looking for a "trendy" burger bar crowded with hipsters, this isn't your place. You'll find an eclectic mix of cops, construction workers, non-vegan millennials and more. The "Living the Dream" t-shirts sported by the fry cooks are pricelessMore

Cozy, friendly atmosphere. And good, juicy, flavorful burgers! Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon, after a tour and taste testing at the nearby Nashville Craft Distillery (see my review!). It was recommended by the staff there. Luckily, it was literally right across the street. We...were hungry, and needed to refuel before continuing our walking tour of Nashville. We were immediately greeted, by the staff behind the counter, as if we were friends that they had not seen in a while! We felt very welcome with this almost festive atmosphere, and quickly settled in to the menu. The burger/sandwich menu has only about a dozen options. But it’s still a little hard to decide! All the choices sounded good. But in the end, we settled on a standard cheeseburger with lettuce and tomatoes. We took our order number, helped ourselves to the self serve, all you can drink, sweet tea, and found a seat in an adjoining room. It was just a short wait before our order was brought over to us. It was easy to see why this place is a local favorite! We immediately tasted how fresh the ingredients were. You could really sink your teeth into the bun. The lettuce was crisp, and not wilty. The tomato was flavorful and not “washed out.“ And the grass fed beef was tender, juicy and generous! Done to perfection! It was the best burger we’ve had in a while. And we’ve had quite a few! The Fries were also very good. When we were finished, and getting ready to make our exit, they bid us to “Come back soon!” Next time we’re in Nashville, we will definitely try to return! In your quest for the perfect burger, definitely put it on your list of places to visit. We wanted to try something that Nashville is more well known for, like a Nashville Hot Chicken restaurant. But we were not disappointed at all. All in all, a very good experience!More

Read the reviews and figured why not give it a shot? Wife had the Gabby burger while I had whatever pne comes with swiss cheese. They were both delicious and greasy which is the way we both love them. Not a lot of room inside...but the turn around is fairly quick so if no seats when you 1st enter just wait a bit and something will open up.More
