We popped in for a quick bite and speaking as a Brit the food was authentic good value and enjoyable. Would have been nice to see kidneys in the steak and guiness pie but having been in the US a while I understand why NO kidneys. Great people and great atmosphere enjoy the "crack"

We have given this place 3 tries over the past several years. We kept thinking maybe we hit it on an off day/night. After the 3rd time we are done. Food bland. Just doesn't cut it for Irish food.

This place is incredible! The bangers and mash are great... Scotch eggs are ON FLEEK (it's what kinds say these days). The shepherds pie is the best I have ever had. The Coke Classic... perfect carbonation. The bread pudding is amazing and doesn't have raisins (as it shouldnt).

Based on the rating, my wife and I stopped here for lunch while in town for a convention. We were not disappointed. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly. Our server was outstanding, checking on us without hovering and was always ready to answer any questions we had. I've only had Scotch Eggs one other time and they... More

This place has amazing traditional Irish food & had traditional live Irish music for everyone to enjoy. Our young boys loved it & so did my husband & I. Will be back next time we are in Nashville!

We went early Saturday evening and the food was very good, and the service was attentive and of course felt like a typical Irish pub. Has the typical Irish beer selection. We had the corned beef bites (great corned beef!) fish and chips cooked perfectly, a Big Fella burger that was huge, a salad and great bangers and mash. All... More

We originally were seated on the side of the restaurant opposite where the music was. We forgot to ask to be seated near the music, and when we asked to be re-seated by the music, they did it with no issue, complaint, or attitude. We eventually sat in the back of the seating area, but there really isn't a bad... More

So this restaurant ranked #10 out of nearly 2000 restaurants in Nashville, 4.5 stars- since we enjoy Irish pubs we had to check it out. Readers digest version: quite good but not 5 star good. Service was very good, beer selection geared towards an Irish pub - I had a Black and Tan, wife had a rattlesnake. Fish and chips... More

We were downtown and I did. Trip advisor search based on ratings. We were with a British friend who was very pleased with the menu choices. He ordered us Scotch Eggs as an appetizer. They were yummy although he said in Europe there is some ground sausage between the egg and the batter. Still good in our opinion! Shepherds Pie... More

Dear Erika, Thank you for taking the time to review McNamara's and we truly appreciate your kind words and comments. So happy you ordered our Scotch Eggs - we do have a thin layer of ground sausage on the eggs - some recipes have a thicker version. Hope you will all come back and see us soon, Best regards, Paula More

I went at about 6:00 on a Wednesday and was happily surprised by the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The Reuben was a little small, but the sweet potato fries were absolutely perfect and on point. The Irish nachos is an appetizer that is basically fries drizzled with shepherd's pie. It really stood out. Before 7, beers are a dollar... More
