My wife and I truly enjoyed dining at this restaurant. It has a real Irish appeal to it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and timely with our food and drinks. The atmosphere was awesome. I highly recommend this Irish restaurant !

What a great find. Starved to have something other than beef, when we saw fish and chips on the menu it was off to McNamara’s! Delightful atmosphere, very Irish pub ish, and an awesome selection of Irish Whiskeys, and Irish beer was plentiful. Catherine our...server was excellent. The fish and chips were fantastic. Plenty of both. The coleslaw was obviously freshly made and well done. To top it off in the next room a three man Irish band complete with fiddler played music all evening.More

We decided to stop in because it was close to where we were at dinnertime. WOW. This little find tops the charts. The service was awesome, the food hot, fresh, and delicious. The live music very entertaining. This is a must in Nashville, stop in...for the scotch eggs and enjoy yourself.More

We stopped by for lunch and had a few pints along with some very delicious food. We shared the Scottish Eggs and Potato Soup to start. We both ordered off of the lunch menu which were a smaller portion size, but found to be quite...generous. My husband got the Fish and Chips and I had the Vegetable Curry over red skin mashed potatoes. Both were really tasty, but the Curry sauce in my dish was outstanding! We ordered our deserts to go of the Irish Cheesecake and Bread pudding, with the latter being our top choice. We hope to come back to enjoy some music this week and try some other menu items out. The staff and our server were really nice and did a great job in making it an enjoyable dining choice.More

Husband and I were up for celebrating a special day with dinner out but were not up for fighting the parking mess in downtown Nashville. We had driven by McNamara’s many times but never tried it, as we like a little more upscale in our...dinners out. But we agreed it would do for at least a try. We were blown away! First parking lot was huge and almost filled, but there was parking across the street anyway. Then we were seated right away by a smiling little pretty, and then greeted almost as quickly by a friendly waiter. This was looking good! Without going into too much detail, let us say there wasn’t a single thing we had that we wouldn’t rate below superlative. Irish bread? Best I’ve eaten in a restaurant. Scotch eggs? What a delightful munch before dinner. Corned beef and cabbage? Look at the size of the portion! Chicken with mushrooms? Outstanding! Irish cream cheesecake? OMG. Irish beer? Really, really great. With tax, the bill came to $80 for all 4 courses, an extra side, and liquor ( and I had wine). Needless to say this will be our new favorite restaurant in the local area. If you’re not convinced that you should come here, let me add that also there was LIVE entertainment…on a Thursday. An Irish trio fiddling and singing Irish folk songs to liven up the atmosphere. Played the entire time we ate there. Even if you live on the other side of Nashville, it is worth the drive, folks. It simply is that good!More

Hubby and I both very much enjoyed our experience at McNamara. Food was tasty. Service was great. They have the largest selection of Irish whisky in town. We sat downstairs which feels like you would imagine an Irish grandmom's home to be like. Next time...we will sit upstairs which has been recently remodeled and feels more romantic and loungey. They also have live music upstairs. If the weather is nice we might do the patio. The place is massive and packed! But the upstairs felt calm and there is plenty of free parking even on a Friday night.More

Excellent dinner experience here. Went with a group of 8 and was able to be seated pretty quickly. Our server was excellent. The atmosphere is what you would hope for in an Irish pub in the US. The food was great, I had the corn...beef and cabbage, which I would recommend. Scotched eggs were good for an appetizer, also. Prices are reasonable.More

My grown grand daughter and I ate lunch here while I was visiting her over Labor Day weekend. We ordered the Scotch Eggs, Full Irish Breakfast and Grilled Galway Salmon. Everything was prepared well and tasted delicious. Service was exceptional. The background of Irish music...set the tone for a lovely atmosphere that was special and quiet. I highly recommend eating here if you are looking for a nice lunch or brunch in Nashville.More

Visited here after visiting the Andrew Jackson Hermitage. You must have their onion rings. With this I ordered the lunch fish and chips. Very good. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. He really like his. Well worth a visit. Great service by Katherine.
