The food at thus place was typical Irish, nothing stood out as above average. Very disappointed that the appetizer came out with the meal…the server acknowledged she made a mistake beforehand when she entered the order. The admission was 10-15 minutes before the food arrived,...she certainly could have walked back to the kitchen and told them. On the back end the server went to an adjacent table and did not look my way. If she had she would have noticed my napkin lying across me plate. She came out again to the same table, and again did not look my way, this time I spoke up as she started to walk away. I hate to dis in her as she was very sweet, but I’m tipping for service not sweetness,More
I have had lunch here on several occasions and am not in the least impressed with their food. The burgers are a safe bet but the Reuben sandwich was so soggy that the bread was falling apart and had to be eaten with a fork....Most recently I thought the chicken tenders would be a good idea but they were so overcooked as to be mostly inedible. If I ever find myself there again I'm going to see what they can possibly do to a salad. The staff is great but the food not so great.More
Had the fish chips, was really good, cole slaw, not so much, was kinda bitter and wasn’t sweet, but everything else was fine, would definitely recommend
Went for lunch today, had a friend in town and we went on the way to to take her to the airport. Service was terrible!! Server was rude and could have cared less! Politely ask three times for a refill of tea from the server...at the table next to ours and never got it. Had to ask four times for our ticket but she was too busy talking to what I am guessing was some friends to pay any attention to us. When we finally just stood up she rushed over and basically threw our ticket on the table. Both our orders of Fish and Chips were ice cold by the time we got them but since our server never came by to check on out order we couldn't tell her how our meals were. Save your money, better off going to Captain D's for fish then this place! Worst service ever!! TERRIBLE!!More
Dear KK, Thank you for contacting us regarding your visit yesterday. Firstly, we would like to sincerely apologize to you and your friends for this very unsatisfactory experience. We are so very disappointed as we have high standards when it comes to true Irish Hospitality....More
I have been to McNamara’s several times and have enjoyed the experience every single time. The food is excellent, the prices reasonable, and the atmosphere charming. This place is a lot bigger than it looks. If you just sat in the dining area to the...right you might not even notice that there is a lot more seating, a full bar, and a stage to the left side of the facility. There is also an upstairs area. I am not a local to Nashville, but family in the area recommended it. They enjoy going for live music, which I would love to catch sometime. Every time I have been there the place is clean, the service is pretty quick and super friendly. Everything we have tried has been fantastic. The steak & Guinness pie is highly recommended. I personally like the shepherd’s pie. Don’t miss the fried mozzarella sticks; I know it is an Irish place but dang if they aren’t the best I’ve ever had (and I like my mozzarella sticks). The corned beef sliders are amazing too, and would make a good meal by themselves! Good draft selection too. I always enjoy a nice draft Magner’s Irish cider in the 20oz. Also a full bar and great selection of Whiskey.More
Such a fun and delicious Irish pub! We enjoyed dinner after a full day of sightseeing in Nashville. Loved the salmon and corned beef!
Visited this establishment the day after St. Pat's!! (It was still rocking!). A group of 8 were able to enjoy a few Guiness and then enjoed a great meal. Usually the food in a pub-like environment is OK, our meals were truly great. Corned beef...outstanding but Guiness pie won the vote. Entertainment at 6PM was a blast. Kudos to Sean, the owner, for not only being a great performer, but also a person who thanked his employees for their hard work and also thanked patrons for supporting this venue. Visited a number of entertainment spots in Nashville, but none can compare to McNamara's.More
This place was awesome. True irish bar. The owner is the center of the band that sometimes plays live. My wife and I were with friends, and we came down from Milwaukee for St. Patty's day, to be specific the night before. I had fish...and chips and my wife had bangers and mash. The food was great, irish coffees were good and the music was off the charts. Great time was had by all. Would definitely recommend this placeMore
the food menu is short. several irish dishes which are not typical to nashville. service was great!, food ok, atmosphere very cozy. we were two coupoles, stsopped for lunch affter a visit to lane car museum. chef cooperated with our gluten free friends.
The vibe of the restaurant was nice and laid back. My husband and I split the Steak and Guinness pie and bangers and mash; both were delicious. I was so excited to try the scotch eggs but unfortunately for me, they fell short. I had...a Long Island iced tea which was potent but very good and my husband enjoyed a Tullamore served neat which he enjoyed. I would gladly return to try other Irish fare!More
But, but the blue cheese dressing on my salad was the best I’ve had anywhere. I’m sorry I didn’t eat more dishes to tell you about but I will be back.
Very friend staff! But food was warm, not hot. We had the shepherds pie and it was pretty bland but we asked for gravy and that made it so much better. We have been to many Irish pubs, so we know what to expect.
The servers were great, food was well made and delicious, we were full after the meal and couldn't get the great deserts we saw walking by. Price was spot on for the quality of the food. Two orders of fish and chips with home made...slaw, the gents ordered the Quiet Man and both loved it.More
We stopped in without any expectations and were blown away by the live Irish music (Th-Sat) as well as the overall atmosphere. There was a 45 minute wait for a table so we stood by the bar in the meantime and were fortunate to arrive...precisely as the band started to play. Ended up staying for the entire night and forgoing our first offered table for one in the playing room. Only downside of the place is that the drinks are extremely expensive (8$/beer is fair, 10$/single rail drink is not) but I would not hesitate to go back again.More
