The bartender I forget what his name was but he was very unprofessional and rude to us . We will never go back here again. It’s like he judged us soon as we sat down I really wished my husband which was the birthday boy...didn’t even tip him but he did of course . I don’t what plp don’t get when you in the service industry you have to be polite and welcoming. Not rude !!!! The food was amazing but I sure wish they would check they workers and keep them in line . Hope this helps anyone else and may your visit here be better than our first timeMore

We went here on a Sunday evening for a special birthday celebration! Taylor was our host and made excellent suggestions in both drinks and food. They have some very unique cocktails of which our party ordered 3 different ones. Everyone enjoyed them. For food, the...salmon dip was a wonderful appetizer! My daughter and her friend had been talking about the ricotta gnudi after exploring the menu online and they were very pleased. My hubby stepped totally out of his comfort zone and ordered the squid ink bucatini! I got a taste of it and it was excellent! Wished I had ordered it, but the salmon with spinach and fingerlings was excellent! Other than the pain of downtown parking, this is a definite place I’d want to revisit!More

We had a fabulous meal at Ellington’s. We ate on the patio basking in the afternoon sun. We enjoyed the $5 appetizer of whipped goat cheese, then salads and entrees of salmon and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server, Christopher, was attentive, funny...and helpful. We had never been to Nashville and felt right at home. Thanks for a lovely dining experience.More

The manager and staff did a great job making my birthday special! The fried brie is even more amazing than it looks and the rib eye was perfectly prepared! Dessert.....you MUST have the creme brulee! There is a lot of love that goes into the...great service we received and....meeting Chef Kristen was a memorable experience!More

The decor of the restaurant is interesting, and the crab cake was good. Can't say too much else good about the experience. First of all, it's a hotel restaurant, and there were a fair amount of tourists there, and smoking cigarettes is somehow allowed on...the terrace, which we didn't realize until we were seated. Second, they did take temperatures at the hostess station and the wait staff wore masks, but outside of that, there were no preventative COVID-19 measures. All tables were seated with very little distance in between, and when we sat down at the bar, we were very uncomfortable because people came and sat directly beside us. The waitress also kept taking off her mask to speak to us. If you do end up here, stick with their "tradtional" (ie fried) offerings. I liked my crab cakes, which were okay, but were really pricey for what was offered (no sides, 3 small crabcakes - $28). My friend's chicken was so bad, she ended up sending it back, and said it was the worst chicken she ever had.More

We met friends for dinner and all of us were impressed. Gene, our server, was most helpful and on the ball. He made some great drink and food suggestions. The Bone Marrow butter appetizer was delicious as was the baked brie. Two of us got...the beef tenderloin. Tender enough to cut with a butter knife! Heavenly apple caramel cake and banana pudding ended the meal. We recommend this restaurant highly to everyone.More

Had great dinner at Ellington’s. Service was good - very nice atmosphere. Felt very safe - they were doing good job spacing out patrons.

The East Coast Oysters and Salmon Spinach Salad were fantastic! They also accommodated my picky teenager with a plain cheeseburger and fries that he said was delicious! My husband had the pork chop, which he really enjoyed! It was a beautiful evening to sit outside...on the Terrace, which was a great atmosphere.More

We loved Ellington’s, the croutons on the Caesar’s salad were the best we have ever had anywhere. The service was impeccable. Nice & quiet while Nashville. I promise we will be back.

Ate at several places during our stay. Ellington’s was the best by a long shot. I had the bone in pork chop and my wife ate the crab cakes. Both were very good. A little pricey, $30 for the pork chop, but still very tasty...and the service was good. Location is excellent, right off Printers Row.More

I would think Ellington is more adult oriented. There is a large bar, live music on some evenings, and a very adult menu with mixed drinks. It tends to be a quiet dining spot the times we’ve been there. Tables and booths are... More
