This wonderful restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at the JW Marriott where our business group was staying. Located in The Gulch area of Nashville, it’s a short walk from the JW. The atmosphere is more low key, and on the mature professional...side. The food is quite varied, moderately priced and delicious! The staff is friendly and the service prompt! We highly recommend giving this restaurant a try when visiting Nashville!More

I ordered a cocktail (excellent), clam chowder (lots of bacon, little clams, not worth it), crab cakes (fried not seared, served like warm at best) and brussle sprouts (excellent). Great venue, nice service but the food was a let down. It was a VERY slow...night so cants blame it on a rush crowd.More

Went on Valentine’s Day as a group of 6 and the restaurant was crazy busy. The serving team were very helpful and the menu was small but interesting and varied. Oysters raw and cooked were excellent, however the mains all arrived cold, with no surf...on the surf and turf. We let the waitstaff know right away and the surf issue was fixed immediately. The restaurant didn’t offer to rectify our cold meals (which would have been ideal) but instead decided to give us a round of sparkling wine and desserts which were delicious. Just to note - despite the food being cold, it was very tasty. The calibre of the restaurant was high and the food quality was good. If it had been served at a decent temperature or if the problem had been rectified by fixing the mains issue immediately, I’d probably have given them a 4 or 5 star review.More

Bartender was good for our pre-dinner cocktail. Service was a little slow at the beginning and degraded over the evening. Oysters were the highlight of the meal; good selection, price, presentation and freshness. All in, we arrived a little after 6, left a little after...10. Received our main course at 9 (ordered at 730). Appeared to be standard Saturday night (most tables full, bar mostly full), but we're told kitchen wasn't staffed to handle it. Waiter was apologetic. Food was good - when we got it. I'd recommend the oysters and brussel sprouts.More

First time in Nashville, wandering around and just stumbled upon the Pemrose. Walked in to grab dinner. Great looking place. The waiter who served us was very accommodating and friendly. Meal got off to a great start—- both the beef stew and the chicken salad...were tasty and quite excellent. But when we sliced the roast chicken, we were upset to see that it was undercooked—- the leg part was still bloody! We sent it back, and had it replaced. They sent us a freshly cooked replacement, but it was still undercooked! The manager was solicitous, but tried to explain it away and say that chicken was always like that (as if I’ve never had roast chicken before?!). Cancelled the order and just left. To his credit, the manager didn’t charge us for the meal. But I went home hungry and more than a little upset, How do you mess up a simple dish like roast chicken... TWICE!?More

I’ve been to this restaurant twice now. Once for dinner and once for brunch. Their brunch is a buffet and it was okay. Dinner was better. But still neither were amazing. Not really a good or bad restaurant in my opinion, just sort of average...at best.More

So looking forward to this restaurant. Perhaps dinner would be a different review, but brunch was awful. Wilted salads, cold hard crabcakes, recycled breads. The waiter was very attentive and apologetic. He did bring out a fresh salad for our table and cut the bill...in half. That being said it was a very unfortunate gathering of friends and family. The restaurant should focus on what it does well, which is NOT brunch.More

Hey I am GF sensitive so asked those questions. They have options but do not have separate dedicated kitchen. This is a higher end fish place, waiter told me no MSG ever.
