About
West Tennessee's legendary whole-hog BBQ tradition is the cornerstone of Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint. The restaurants have been featured on the Food Network, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, and The Today Show and in publications such as Bon Appetit, Esquire, Conde Nast Traveler, and Men's Journal. Pat Martin learned the art and craft of West Tennessee-style smoke and meat 25 years ago in the tiny town of Henderson, TN before making Nashville his home. It became a consuming passion that eventually led to a business when he opened the first Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint in October of 2006 in Nolensville, Tennessee - just south of Nashville. Today, there are four locations in the Nashville area, including

I went with a group of business associates to Martin's Barbecue Joint for dinner. Very large restaurant with multiple seating areas. Format is similar to many barbecue places. Line up to order and then find a table. Food is then brought to your table. If...More

Delicious bbq pork dinner on Friday night, complete with bean, corn bread, and mac 'n cheese. Comfort, comfort, comfort... Topped it all of with banana pudding (and pecan pie too!). Lively atmosphere and prompt service made it a relaxed night out with friends. Highly recommended!

Great place to eat. Better than average BBQ, coming from a snob. Moved large number of people quickly. I was there during CMA fest and definitely a larger group than normal, but they handled it really well. Staff super friendly.

My husband and I did a walking tour of downtown Nashville. We asked our guide where the best barbecue in walking distance was and he sent us to Martins. There is always a line, but it moves fast. The food was served super fast, the...More

Far and away the best barbecue I have ever had. Pulled pork was tender, not overcooked and it was not overloaded with spices. The same for the brisket. It was tender enough to cut with my fork. It was better than any brisket I have...More

Wait time was reasonable. Met a dear friend from home for lunch at his recommendation. So glad he did! Food was great and very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere!

We were dismayed and encouraged at the same time by the line that snaked out the door at Martin's. We made friends with travelers in front of us in line. They gave us the low down as they dined there the night before and came...More

We were in town for CMA Fest and wanted BBQ for dinner. The rub on the ribs is delicious. The meat fell right off the bone. This was a finger lickin' good meal. So good, we not only waited in the long line out the...More

I had a sampler platter which gave me a taste of the ribs and brisket. Briskit had good flavor and passed the bend test. Was there on a Monday afternoon 1pmish. Line almost to the door, but it moved swiftly. Also had catfish fritters and...More

Hi Troy – not mandatory but of course our concierge encouraged it. The place is popular and often crowded so it did not hurt. We were seated immediately since we did have one.
