I was excited to see a place close to work that offered healthy food options and when I saw the grilled chicken salad on the menu, that really got the old mouth to watering. At $11.00, the price was pretty high for a grilled chicken...salad, especially with it being lunch time. When I returned to work with it, things went from just a simple case of sticker-shock to utter disappointment. First of all, I had envisioned the nice soft fried egg I was promised with lovely liquid yolk running all into my salad, but instead got a hard fried egg that was so done, it was completely brown on the outside instead of being white and was like a piece of leather. The chicken was ok despite having almost zero seasoning whatsoever. Avocado was sliced perfectly and the addition of the pickled onions was a nice touch. The size of the salad was quite small for the price and the amount of chicken, avocado and onions compared to the greens was about 10% toppings and 90% greens. Now, to move on to the final piece of this twisted puzzle.....the dressing. Something they call espresso vinaigrette. At least it sounded good. I really hope that the dressing I put on my salad was not spoiled, as I have no idea what it was supposed to taste like. It was neither espresso or vinaigrette in nature. The appearance was offputting and looked like thick brown gravy. It had a very odd flavor that was extremly unappetizing and oddly chemical-like. I'm not sure if it was a combination of the flavors of the onions, etc mixed with the dressing that threw me off, but to put it bluntly......it was pretty freaking gross. If I go again, I will steer clear of this salad that tried but horribly missed the mark.More

The Cubano sandwich was not tradional, but lots of pork and perfectly seasoned. The chicken sandwich was also excellent, as was the slaw. Nice small local, gets busy at noon.

I LOVE this place. I’m a local and have to hit Subculture at least monthly for their Hot Chicken (medium) Ramen w/ one of their homemade Cheese Empanadas or a Choriburger if they are serving it that day. They win local awards all the time...for their food. Christina is the best —she greets everyone with a smile and will fix you up with some great food. If you’re visiting and like spicy food and eclectic places to eat, this is a true gem!More

Family of 8. Had chicken and waffles, burger, churrasco sandwich, chicken sandwich and the ramen bowl. Chicken selections ranged from mild to hot and seemed pretty on point with their range. Everything was great and we enjoyed!

This place is phenomenal. Their farm to table fresh food is amazing! I had their burger and it was better than I’ve ever had before. The quinoa salad was different but not my favorite. The service is great, the portions hearty, and the place is...hopping. Highly recommend this spot.More

Subculture has a small menu and only a few tables, but the food is fantastic! You order at the counter when you walk in and then have a seat at an open table. I had the hot chicken tacos (so so so good) and my...husband had hot chicken ramen (not on the menu but they'll do it). The ramen is very strongly flavored with sesame oil so if you're not into that I would skip that dish. The tacos had this amazing garlic aioli on top and it was fantastic! I would definitely go again...and probably will next time I get a chance.More

Had been craving Chilean cuisine and got this place highly recommended by a friend. I had an alfajor (pastry with caramel) and a coffee. I also ordered an empanada (chicken) which was baked and not fried loved that choice (usually empanadas are deep fried). Loved...their customer service, very friendly.More

I ate there yesterday with my husband and brother. Each had something different to eat: chicken churrasco sandwich, ramen and hot chicken sandwich (perfect amount of heat), tried all the dishes, delish! The atmosphere was relaxing and the Bonacic brothers made us feel welcome (they...own and cook in the restaurant). It’s a must!More
