Average food (soggy fries anyone?) and appalling service. Food was literally thrown onto table and as our mains were served we were told we had 5 mins to eat them as the table was booked for someone else. Shame as the wines are nice but...we will never be going back. Worst service experience I’ve ever had on the Peninsula.More

This winery cancelled our booking the morning of our booking, completely ruining our plans. This was based on the weather forecast which had not changed at all since the booking was made. They were also rude and completely unsympathetic about it.

I had a booking at Trofeo for 02/01 with family who had travelled down from Sydney. I received notification that the restaurant had cancelled the booking on 01/01 via their booking app OpenTable. Most unhappy and has made me write the worst trip advisor rating...ever. Very unhappy and I will not be recommending this place to any friends or family due to this unbelievable poor treatment from a business I wanted to support. I would not recommend taking a risk at this place.More

I have never written a negative review but the experience was so bad I was compelled to write this. We order a Butchers board and it was the weirdest combination of food ever served on a grazing board and extremely over priced at $130 for...two people. The duck curry has about two mouthfuls of duck and was served luke warm. There was no roti served as advertised. There was a bunch of grapes and dried fruit. A sausage, 7 tiny meatballs and two cold lamb sliders. The board was stacked up with bread, biscuits snd crackers ( no sure what these were meant to be eaten with? How this was worth over $100 is a joke. Serving half a loaf of bread on a grazing board does not make a grazing board. And add to the poor experience they offer wine flights for $30+ and don’t give you any Information on the wine not even what wines were in the glass and no information about them. . We even asked for a tasting notes and the response was we don’t have one we can print out? Aren’t you a winery???? Don’t offer wine flights if you can’t even do this - it’s an insult to a premium wine region. Don’t waste your time or money. It was the worst experience I have had in a long time on the Peninsula.More

Went midweek and had a wonderful time in a great setting- the tasting room is quite special. The woman conducting the tasting was friendly and helpful. The wines terrific, and quite different as aged on terracotta amphorae; the flavour of the grape is quite distinctive....Really worth a visit as so different from other wineries.More

Have been to this estate before and enjoyed the experience, however the new set price platters consist of small servings for the over inflated prices. The harvest board for two at $65 consisted of mainly raw vegetables with bread and the charcuterie platter for three...was $95 with small servings and more bread. To fill up, bowls of chips were ordered as the platters were so meagre. The setting is great and there is a nice outdoor eating area. We will not be returning.More

Had lunch there yesterday for Mothers Day. The set menu was very disappointing. Pork Belly over cooked and dry, the lasagna was not edible, dry overcooked and cold and the salted caramel tart had a tart shell you needed a hammer to break it so...you could eat it, about one teaspoon of caramel, ice cream stuff? and no pinot Noir syrup. For $75.00 per head definitely not value for moneyMore

We had lunch here with friends. Awesome food and wine. We had two, two person charcuterie boards between five of us and that was enough food. We all tried the wine tasting selection and no one was disappointed. With COVID restrictions in place we asked...to experience the cellar door for tasting which was done at our table in the garden by a very knowledgeable member of the Trofeo team. Our table had a sun shade which was a nice touch. Well done Trofeo.More

What a great place. The wine tasting was superb, unpretentious and informative. The food first class and we sat outside on a great sunny day. Would definitely recommend this place for lunch and also just for a wine taste with cheese. The ambience is superb...and staff first class. I think I went heaven.More

How can anyone not like visiting Mornington Peninsula, a place you can eat, drink & shop fresh produce, not to mention full of beautiful wineries like Trofeo. Husband & I had lunch there recently on a sunny Sunday. in a large room, with high-ceiling &...exposed brickwalls, large wooden tables & chairs mixed with lovely upholstered chairs, makes you feel like in a boutique hotel. We shared a few small dishes including a Paddock plate, nothing too pretentious but fresh produce beautifully cooked. However what makes this place unique is their wine's are fermented and matured in huge terracotta pots known as amphorae which I have never seen one until that day. We totally enjoyed their lovely refreshing Rosé in a nice warm day. Friendly staff made this place extra special.More

Booked in for a lunch for about16 people. Large group, but the venue catered for us well. Lunch was a large spread, shared dishes of breads, dips, cheeses, seafood and meats. This venue also matched wines and beers to our food. Firstly the staff, they...were excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We even had the chef come and chat to the table. The price, well given what we had, we were very impressed. You could even split the bill. We also had an opportunity to undertake a tasting, again staff were excellent, their knowledge of the wines and estate was impressive. The wines here a made in a unique way and rare for Australia. The use of terrocotta really changes the dynamics of the wine. This venue is well placed to cater for large groups or couples alike. Dinning inside and out. I would recommend this place, if you love wine, good food and interested in the area, well worth a stop.More

I was fortunate to visit a couple of weeks ago with a small group of family and friends. We experienced an evening of fabulous food and wine. The wine is produced in Amphoras rather than oak barrels, and all those who tried the best paddock...chardonnay said it was particular good and well rounded. As for the food the seafood was outstandind, fresh and delicious. I shared some fresh cooked whitebait and succulent king prawns for entree. But the best was yet to come, in the form of possibly the best Seafood Linguine I've had. The range and freshness of the seafood was excellent, with the pasta cooked perfectly, worthy of being their signature dish. A true delight and highly recommend.More
