My wife and I had lunch at Hickinbotham for our wedding anniversary. Having previously visited, we knew their food was good, but they surpassed themselves this time. I had a wonderful piece of eye fillet on smashed potato & bacon, with confit shallots, winter greens and merlot jus. The steak was melt in the mouth tender, and the merlot jus... More

This was my first time at hickinbotham winery and it won't be my last! The staff are so accommodating and friendly and the food and wine are top notch!! We had searched for a venue that could sit 12 people and allow us to choose our menu and this place fit the bill! I cannot recommend a visit here highly... More

My favourite winery on the Peninsula is Hickinbothams, Dromana. I discovered it 4 years ago after a particularly cold, winter surfing trip. I positioned my frozen bones next to the real log fire and sank a pint of Pale Ale which was fabulous. These days I m an eager menu bashing , Summer Ale quoffing regular. Terran, Andrew & the... The 'Hix' Pale Ale was worth the drive from Hepburn Springs Chalet. Same with the 2014 Coffee Rock Merlot. Amazing!

Four of us booked for lunch on Saturday 11/6. After being shown to our table we were ignored for half an hour, had to find our own drinks before finally ordering our meals. When we had finished our entrees there was another half hour wait trying to catch the eye of someone who eventually appeared and asked if we wanted... More

Hi Gloria I am sorry you had a bad experience with us, but as I pointed out in my previous emails we could have moved your group had you told us that you didn't like the music. More importantly Gloria, be advised we do not respond to bullies. More

The meal that I had, was a chicken pate, with fig and chutney, it was of an average standard, but filling just the same. Drinks were locally brewed beer and estate wine, both quite good, but on the expensive side. All in all, just an average meal, but the acoustics and noisy band, let the experience down.

This is one of our favourite places to go in the Mornington peninsula! With a variety of wines and various beers, not to mention the grape cider, goes well with the rustic features and laid back approach to this winery. The food is amazing and our favourite winemakers cheese platter is becoming a standard order for us. The staff are... More

Well we came here for a family meal, all 13 of us and not for the wine tasting. The meal had several fish courses including squid! I had fish and chips which were very good. We had to wait for a little while because there was a 50th birthday celebration and a wedding party as well combined I think. We... More

Not only are you drawn in by the beautiful paved original brick floor, the open fire crackling, the smell of history and fine wine, the food is to tell everyone about. It is so nice to see that a traditional winery handed down through generations is still carrying the character of what a winery should be and feel like. With... More
