I love this place. Beautiful heritage building and garden setting. A perfect destination for Breakfast before you head up into the Hills. My favourite is their quinoa porridge cooked in coconut milk served with a compote of berries and nuts....my staple breakfast order! Love it!!

We didnt set out to eat here, rather we went to the local community market in the school at the rear and walked in the back way, having seen the open for breakfast sign. (Incidentally, the only car parking is at the back or a bit of a walk up the road). We were surprised it was full and we... More

Our family enjoyed breakfast here before we headed off to Grant's picnic ground for a walk in Sherbrooke Forest. The coffee was excellent so I had two. Our boys enjoyed the seed infused banana bread with the novelty of maple syrup on the side. Can also vouch for the focaccias and eggs. The heritage building with open fire makes for... More

This is a favourite restaurant not just locally but anywhere! The food options suit all dietary needs and are extensive, the desserts are awesome and the venue is fantastic. On top of that, the staff are a fabulous group of people who make sure your needs are met and are welcoming and friendly. What more could you ask for! Try... More

Cold Sunday morning and we appreciated the roaring log fire. Eggs and toast for both of us. Ordered home made baked beans, bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, and spinach as sides to boost up the mains. Washed down with chai lattes and flat whites. Oh and we have the freshly squeezed juice blend. Everything was very good. Service was also very... More

Terrible service, slow and unfriendly. Coffee was ok, expected more and took almost 20 minutes to arrive. Food took forever to come and was not good. Kangaroo burger tasted like it was from Coles and was cold when it arrived. Porridge was ok but had big lumps. No one came to check on our meal or asked us if we... More

Hadn't been here for quite awhile, since they stopped doing evening meals. I went for lunch with a friend who is a vegetarian. This restaurant always has some good vegetarian choices. I enjoyed one of the specials which was a falafel salad. It was very good, very tasty and a great mix of flavours. The serving was HUGE. It was... More

We were lucky enough to park right in front of this restaurant on our drive to yarra valley. It was a nippy but sunny morning and it was pleasant to sit on the porch and warm up in the sun while enjoying a home cooked breakfast. A pleasant change from city life.

We had a very good lunch at Earthly Pleasures Cafe and highly recommend you stop there for a meal when visiting the area, especially the Puffing Billy tourist attraction. Great food and nice atmosphere.

Description
Earthly Pleasures Café is Belgrave's iconic gem, hidden by a lush garden, right in the middle of town. The building's impressive 20-foot high bluestone walls warrant a heritage listing, but today the café's mandate is modern. Earthly Pleasures has built its reputation on ethically sourced produce and small batch roasted artisan coffee that meets Melbourne's highest standards of coffee. The generously-portioned meals are made from scratch - everything from chutneys, pestos and homemade cakes. And the local craft beers and boutique wines impress the locals, while also drawing the inner city crowd to the hills. Built in the 1930s by the Jorgensen family (famous also for later building Montsalvat in Eltham) Earthly Pleasures moonlights as a function venue at night. If the walls could talk, they'd speak of bohemian parties starring the beatnik artistic community of mid-century Victoria. Whatever time of day you're in Belgrave, Earthly Pleasures is a must see It's the perfect place to dine or pop in for a drink before exploring the Belgrave streetscape, Puffing Billy, Trees Adventure or any of the beautiful national parks within a bluestone's throw.
