My girlfriend and I, along with another couple, visited for the weekend. We had dinner booked in on Friday and Saturday nights. The food was AMAZING! First night I had the venison entree and then the hare ragu with paperdelle. YUM!! Massive selection of craft beers (150+) and 3 pages of gins. Plus other spirits - so there's plenty to... More

In a town with very little choice for dinner and little competition it is wonderful to see the owners and staff set the standards they do. A select range of good value meals can be eaten in the front bar or you can go the full on restaurant experience in the dining room at the back with a different and... More

Recommend eating at The Avoca for lunch or dinner. Great range of local wines and boutique beers on tap, plus interesting meals in the Dining room with a gourmet touch at reasonable prices.

Best meal of our trip to the Goldfields by far. Menu was quite eclectic with mix of Asian and European styles - all delicious and beautifully presented. Service was great while maintaining a really lovely casual "local pub" vibe. Loads of character!

Just had a beautiful lunch. Pork belly and green peas. Very very delicious and would highly recommend. Pub food but more the gastro kind. Also have a great selection of local wines. We are going to visit again soon - next time as part of a local wine tasting day.

Excellent stop for lunch and dinner if you are heading towards Hall Gap . The salt and pepper squid is nice! Cheese burger is juicy, crispy bun and flavourful. The host and hostesses are friendly and prompt with the services. The coffee is nice too.

I have been to this establishment a number of times and it never fails to please me. From the cheerful and honest greeting on arrival to the sincere "hope to see you again" comment as you leave. The hosts are casual, yet efficient and informative. The food is excellent. Our group of four had three courses each and each dish... More

Some of our City restaurants could take lessons from this Pub. The service was fantastic and knowledgeable, particularly about local wines. The atmosphere was exceptional and we'll definitely go back there more than once!

We visited this great hotel during the Australia Day weekend - twice. The food is something else. We learnt that the chef used to be an apprentice chef at the hotel. Her imagination and skills were something to behold. The restaurant had an intimate dim lit atmosphere. We sampled most of the menu on our 2 visits. Two of the... More
