Location and contact

Why Hemingway’s Manly? Ernest Hemingway called Paris his home in the 1920s because, “The most interesting people of the world lived in Paris at that time,” (Pablo Picasso, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Coco Chanel, etc.) and apparently because the monetary exchange rate made it a cheap place to live. He liked to spend his time in cafes. Some of his favourites were “Les deux Magots”, “Café de Flores”, “La Closerie des Lilas”, where he found his inspiration to write. For Hemingway eating was always more than just preparing and consuming food. It was about the people, the events and the ambience. We here at Hemingway’s share this value therefore we enjoy accommodating you whether it is for dinner, a coffee

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
