Casual yet elegant restaurant right on the water's edge. The menu is geared towards seafood with a few vegetarian options. We shared pizzas and a couple of sides, all of which were tasty. They don't take reservations on the weekend so sometimes you may have to sit at the bar until a table becomes available, but today we were in... More

Difficult to book so people tend to queue for a table , get there early as it's a very busy place . Food was great and they catered for all different diets . Staff good too . Well worth a visit

Such a great spot! Right on Manly Wharf, watching the ferries coming in, beautiful view and terrific food. The service was friendly, helpful and attentive. A little expensive but totally worth it - couldn't fault the food. Would definitely recommend.

Could not be closer to the harbour as restaurant is right on Manly jetty. Open air layout mans all table feel close to water. Food and service was great. Recommend Angel hair pasta and kingfish. Plenty of other good options.

Wow. A very popular venue. They don't take bookings on the weekends as a result ( fair enough) the food quality is good and flavours were nice. Service took a while at times, but overall we had a good experience. Hard to beat this location and the outlook from the restaurant.

We came to this venue for after-work drinks. We were not able to get a drink at a table unless eating so we decided to get a table and have some food. Unfortunately waitstaff put us at a table where water was leaking on us next to a POS system in a far off corner. We were looking forward to... More

We visited this very popular restaurant on busy Surfing Championship weekend. A reservation could not be made but we turned up early at 6pm and had a wait at the bar for about 20 minutes. Considering, the volume of diners, we were not expecting too much from the food fare. However, my wife and I agreed the meal was excellent.... More

We're regular patrons at Hugo's and dine there probably at least once each month and all year through - not just in the warmer months either. We are no by means locals and travel for an hour to get there, but It has become our favourite Sunday-afternoon-into-evening restaurant. The meals (particularly the calamari and the pizzas) are consistently 10/10, the... More

Coffees with spiced rum, oysters natural and crumbed, prawns, pate, excellent pea risotto. Watermelon cocktail. Nice morning-after post-concert celebration!

Went here for some lunch on Sunday. The place was rammed and though we wanted a table outside the staff just simply couldn't accommodate, not their fault at all. They did manage to get us some seats looking out on the bay which was definitely good enough for us. The service was brilliant, all the staff here are so kind... More

Staying in Manly

Neighborhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
