The quality is consistent. It never fails to impress with being exactly what you order. The lunch time special, make it a regular haunt with very welcoming, staff. Sometimes we have the banana flower salad which is fresh and tasty.

Went for a quick dinner with a friend who lives nearby and who eats at Spice Market nearly every week. Very tasty Laotian/Thai food, served quickly by very friendly staff. I had the green papaya salad, which had just the right amount of kick, and looked on in wonderment at the delicious meals being served to other diners. I will... More

Spice Market, Double Bay is the rudest most overrated restaurant I have ever experienced. We ordered a tofu vegie dish and when chicken arrived we called up, there was no sorry, complete rudeness and Anthony the person on the phone actually remarked “Don’t you give me that attitude.” Actually said that. I was completely shocked. This was the rudest most... More

Best Thai food in Sydney and I been living in Thailand for so many years now. So this is the restaurant you HAVE to go for a beautiful taste of the siam culture.

had chicken laksa on lunch special, nothing fancy. Noodles doughy and very one dimensional. Like a frozen meal. Also bought a pad kee mao to go and looks good through the box. Long established place but fails on consistency after coming here for 17 yrs.

I'm sure half the people who review this restaurant so positively have never eaten really good Thai food. Thai food should not be so sweet that that's the only lingering flavour. It should be sour, spicy, salty lots of things. Have just had home delivery and all three of us have found it too awful to eat. Tom Yum Goong... More

I ordered the Flying Wok fish and the fish was all soggy as it was sitting under all the sauce and veggies. Boring veggies mainly consisting of carrot and onion and hardly any broccoli or green veggies! The chilli jam and cashew nut veggie stir fry was equally as boring with no green veggies in sight and the tofu was... More

We stay in Double Bay several times each year and order takeaway from Spice Market every time. Our particulate favourite is fish choo chee, which is deep fried fish served in a red curry sauce. The kids love the satay sticks and the green chicken curry. Although it's possible to eat in at Spice Market, it's probably better to get... More

I go here on a regular basis because I only have a short time for lunch. They are super quick, I'm in and out the door in half'n'hour. Thank you, keep up the great work!

Whether you enjoy masaman curry, pad thai, or laksa, the tastes at the Spice Market are authentic and fresh. The food and the service are excellent and good value as well.
