I recently spent 11 days in NSW visiting from NZ and went to Sea Treasure for Sunday Yum Cha. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The service was ok and the decor a little tired but the food wasn't enjoyable at all. The dishes presented weren't fresh and were mostly fried food, not what you'd expect at... More

First impression at the entry was that it looked tacky and wasn't expecting a lot. From the moment I got in there, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We had the mixed fried entree, spring rolls, prawn dumplings and chicken & cashew, Mongolian lamb, battered king prawns. Every aspect of the meal was full of flavour, high quality and... More

Is it just me or is Yum Cha a good hangover cure!? In any event, this bustling restaurant provides a nice carb loaded antidote to last night's excesses. Great dumplings, pork and chive and scallop being my pick. Good bbq pork and a steady procession of other tempting options. Reasonable value unless you plump for the seafood options.

Had the pleasure recently of taking two people who had never been to yum Cha here an watching their astonishment at the steady stream of delicious food! Each time, this restaurant provides ultra fresh delicious food, sensibly priced drinks, delicious green tea and pleasant kind staff. Get in there if you like Chinese and even with a queue at very... We have been dining at Sea Treasure on and off for 20 years but sadly it has declined to a point that we won't be back. Whilst our yum Cha experience wasn't terrible there are far better options for a fraction of the price. Some dishes were great ie calamari and mango pancakes but the spring rolls were over done... I've defended Sea Treasure's reputation in he last year or so when friends report that 'it's not as good as it was before they sold it'. Not sure I can do that anymore Their Yum Cha - 3 weekends in a row, has dropped its trousers. All the steamed dumplings are ALWAYS overcooked to the the point where the light... More

I have been going here for years and no matter where we go it never compares to Sea Treasure. The staff are kid's friendly and always welcoming. You won't find a better Yum Cha

We have walked past this restaurant for over 30 years without going in. We enjoyed such a good experience that we will return and possibly become regulars

This once great local has fallen a long way from its former grace. Been going here for years and my kids have grown up on Yum Cha from here, and was always pretty good, even when the travelling trolleys were put away and they went to an order off the menu set up some time ago. Had not been in... More

I am almost embarrassed to say just how much my fiancee and I come to this place! It never fails to deliver the freshest (everything is made on site) and best value Yum Cha in Sydney! I am obsessed with Yum Cha and I reckon Sea Treasure is better than what I've had in Shanghai! On top of that the... More
