Balmain is full of restaurants but this one really stands out as very special. A great variety of the fabulous flavours of Spain at a reasonable price. Try the grilled Prawns, they are to die for!

Service, presentation, taste, atmosphere - excellent! Stumbled upon the place about 1 year ago and we keep coming back. Outstanding consistency in terms of quality and taste - authentic! Possibly (one of) the best Tapas place(s) in Sydney …

The food was well presented and tasty. Our companions had travelled extensively in Spain and were pleased with the food on offer.

The service was impeccable for our girls lunch, with an attentive, but no overbearing, waitress. The food was plentiful and tasty. We particularly liked the lamb skewers and the calamari, and friends raved about the hot chocolate for dessert. There is an extensive wine menu - I would have liked to have seen some white from Galicia, but it's hard... More

We just had a fabulous evening dining at La Sangria. We ordered a section of tapas and a Squid Ink Paella to share, probably too much food but it was all delicious. We were able to bring the leftovers home. We ate soft shell crab, patatas, meatballs, eggplant, prawn/shrimp and the chorizo were smokey and spicy - so yum. Wash... More

Welcoming, consanguineous atmosphere awaits this noisy, yet cosy dining space. Staff engaging and attentive. Tapas the only way to fly. Chorizos not the best - funny little boy's penis look alikes, pre-cooked, flopsy, tasteless. Potato in garlic sauce delish. Lamb skewers tender, juicy, tasty. Tuna salad also very good. Croquettes however tasted mass produced, as though bought from "croquettes are... More

This was a wonderful meal of flavour, texture and great service. We had a tapas for two and especially enjoyed the varied selection.

very disappointed, was so looking forward to eating tapas. So let down with their paella, had the seafood paella it was a grey looking rice dish, no colour with saffron as advertised, very let down with their food!!

Thank Georgia M
