We popped down for dinner mid-week and had a really tasty meal. The halumi with fig confit was lovely, the white bait too and the lamb skewers were cooked to perfection. The desert with three dishes is a good choice as you can try a little bit of everything. A Sofie is what really makes it, she's awesome :) Really... More

We were there to celebrate an 18th birthday. Slightly disappointed that we had to have the banquet when there was only 7 of us, reasonably priced however we would like to have had different food. We will go again with less people. Such an enjoyable night, the belly dancer & some Greek dancing. Service friendly & efficient, they even appeared... More

We were visiting from out of town for work and this was a great place to visit. The service was so great - nothing was missed. We began with a cocktail and chose the banquet. We did not regret having the banquet, everything was delicious and for $48 it was value for money especially for the quality. After dinner we... More

This restaurant is awesome - a wonderful modern twist on your favorite traditional dishes. We were worried that it would be the usual noisy,Greece dancing, plate-smashing affair, but this restaurant sits discreetly on the first floor of Darling St, and is just right in terms of ambiance and atmosphere. Sofie is great fun, very attentive and is happy to recommend... More

Sofie's is the BEST Greek restaurant in Sydney - simple as that. This is not fake Greek food, this is the real thing. The food is clean, fresh, full of authentic flavour and exceptional value. Where else in Sydney can you find exceptional mains in the mid-$20's? The lamb kleftiko falls off the bone it is so well cooked and... More

Description
Sofie's was first established in 1977 and in January 2010 Sofie & husband Peter, re-opened the restaurant. Smashed plates from Greek restaurants around the world adorn the walls making the decor stylish and fun! The blue room which holds 20 people sit-down, has a comforting palette of rich vibrant coloured cushions, silk walls, candle light and is separated from the main restaurant by silky sheer curtains. In total, Sofie's can accommodate up to 84 sit-down (120 cocktail style) patrons. Saturday evenings you will be entertained by a Greek Tsifteteli belly dancing floor show. Sofie's stylish and very talented Greek Belly dancers create a wonderful atmosphere that you won't forget. Our family run business is about breaking bread with family & friends You will enjoy traditional Greek cooking and exciting contemporary creations. Everything is cooked on our premises using quality ingredients and seasonal fresh produce. We (Sofie & Peter) strive to achieve excellence in food and service. Between us we have been in hospitality for more than 30 years as restaurateurs and events management. The atmosphere is perfect for couples wanting a romantic dinner for two and larger groups. Weddings, birthdays, christenings, anniversaries.....our space is great for a gathering of friends and families. When you're with us you'll feel like you're at home. We love entertaining and will take any opportunity to do so. If your celebration is important to you, it's important to us.
