Balmain Blu is convinientely located on Darling St and is the perfect location for some easy fish and chips where they will let you BYO bottle of wine to enjoy as you watchthe crowds pass. Great for a quiet low cost evening and also great take away,

Came here for a simple meal for a date. The place has some nice street side tables which were good for eating our seafood platters with some reasonably priced cold asahi. Will be back

Come here with my girl and also with my mates to grab some seafood every few weekends. Place is reasonably priced and has good quality seafood. Service is of the fish a chip shop variety so its great for grab and go or sit and chill.

Walking along Darling Street one day, we felt like fish and chips for shop. We saw Balmain Blu and decided that this will do. Expecting to get the usual fare. Lo and behold - we were so very pleasantly surprised that the little corner fish shop served fresh quality stuff that were scrumptiously delicious!!! We could taste the freshness in... More

Balmain Blu is a little corner fish and chip shop that cooks up some great value for money dishes. A major plus is that Blu offers a good selection of fresh fish all cooked to order. The cooking is generally simple which, in my opinion is how fish should be cooked. The chips are good and the salads are light... More

Great for a quick and cheap fish and chips.. Which is surprisingly hard to find on the peninsula.. We also had seafood for Christmas supplied by these guys and the quality was excellent. Highly recommended and at a reasonable price!!!

There are your run of the mill fish and chip shops and there are your fish and chip shops that make this simple fare into something special. Balmain Blu is one of the special ones. I really enjoyed watching the Balmain locals wander by while eating fresh tasty fish and chips

Balmain Blu has been around for a while and for good reason. Their fish specials are great. The dish is usually on for a week and is a meal in a polystyrene box. I've often wondered how it is cost effective because you couldn't hope to buy the ingredients for less than the $14 or $15 you'll pay for it.... More

Simple, beautifully cooked salmon is my favourite. Welcoming owners and staff make it a pleasure to dine in.
