This place was fantastic you could take your own wine and they charged a small corkage fee not that anyone minded paying that when you were saving a fortune by not paying so much out for wine there! The food was delicious and never had a bad meal shame this place closed down as it was a family run business... More

Not a brilliant choice on the menu however I had the bolognese and it was delicious. Have been a few times and every time we have been the 'Soup of the day' is always minestrone!!!!!! Only ever eaten at lunchtime so possibly more choice on evening menu.

Went here on a cold Thursday night for tea 6pm, we were greeted with smiles and great service, food was pipping hot and made to order, very decent house white & rose. By the time we left the place was nearly full and all seemed to be enjoying themselves. We will definately be back!!

The worst meal I've had in a long long time. On a positive the staff were very friendly. Will not be visiting there again

Decided to try the new breakfast menu. Staff friendly though not experienced. The breakfast was obviously precooked and heated up. plates were cold. Had to send bacon back as it had come pre cooked straight from the fridge. The whole meal was cold and beans were dry. When we wanted to pay and complained again, nothing was done about it.... More

Lovely warm welcome. The chef made a sauce that wasn't on the menu so that was a lovely touch. They didn't hover over us whilst eating which was niniceTge food was cooked to perfection.

I really do not know where to start. As a family we had contacted the restaurant to see if they could host a family celebration for 30-35 people of which they said that there would be no problem. We submitted pre orders of starters and mains for the group. We arrived on Saturday to be presented with a squashed seating... More

I like to review fairly and honestly. Having been to Da Gennaro a number of times this year (and submitted a positive review previously), I'm afraid that last night wasn't really up to scratch. We booked for 6pm and arrived on time to an otherwise empty restaurant - however, before long two large groups began to arrive. Luckily we placed... More

Great classic Italian food with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and there is a wine choice. By arrangement you can bring your own bottle. Great food cooked and served by members of the Italian family.

I eat at this restaurant regularly and recommend it to other people. The 2 course lunch and early menu is very good value and the food is really good . Staff are always pleasant and accommodating.
