The worst meze I have ever had. Quality of the food was really poor and badly cooked. I didn't think complaining would help as the chef seemed incapable of making any dish tasty. Chicken was pale and appeared microwaved, lamb was overcooked and hard, calamari was greasy..... Even the salad was disappointing. Recommendation? Get on the train to Cardiff where... More

I have been several times to Izmir, they are always very welcoming and charming. A group of 24 people went for lunch today. Both food and costumer service were amazing. They are very accommodating and very well organized. Excellent value for money as well.

Visited last night. Took ages to get a menu and wine list. Starters arrived. Still no wine. Starters ok but bread was stale and cold. Main vourses indescribable. Vegetable moussaka seemed to have been built to order not baked as one and covered in a watery tomato sauce. Third visit. First was good, second very average, this one awful. Will... More

Went to the Izmir restaurant with our neighbours who are Greek and we had a fantastic meal we all had starters and we all had different main coursers. All our meals were absolutely lovely, the service was excellent and we didn't have to wait for our meals. I would recommend this restaurant to all our family and friends .

Returning to Barry after many years, it's a delight to discover new places and Izmir takes the cake. Great food, lovely surroundings (Broad Street, obviously) and excellent service. The assistant manager was charming, generous and made the experience a memorable one. Highly recommended!

lovely food, reasonably priced and excellent service, When the waitress found out it was my daughters 5th birthday she took her juice bottle and put it in a cocktail glass with umbrellas, sparklers and a candle. Definitely be returning.

The high tripadvisor rating was not justified when we ate at lunchtime. The green salad was browned at the edge, holed and old. Houmos has run out! The cold meze platter was just that - much of it straight out of the fridge. We would normally expect it to be room temperature. Service was good as was some of the... More
