We stayed at the hotel for one night with our relatives. The location is great for walking around and taking in the local shops and pubs. The hotel is over 300 years old but has been updated where it needs to be to give a guest a very relaxing stay. All the works from check in to bar to restaurant... More

The rooms are very comfortable. Problems are dealt with quickly and without any embarrassment. We had a genuine problem with our superior room, that I would like to add was not due to any fault of the hotel, but they didn't have another so swiftly moved us to a suite. The rooms are spotless and the beds comfortable and large... More

Thursday evening, not booked. Popped in and were situated pleasantly in the dining room. The feel of the place was welcoming and the waiting staff took great care. The meals were served with elegance and tasted great! Very happy to commend and visit again when holidaying in the area. I'd say, by the look of things, this is the best... More

We attended as guests the Welshpool Rotary Club Charter Evening. The room was well laid out, the service was excellent, food and wine also excellent.

We stayed for two nights, and ate in the restaurant on two occassions - both meals were very good (portions of average size) and cost fine, good selection of wines available. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and very modern.

THe staff are very polite and helpful, the food is good and the room we had was excellent. Unfortunately the hotel has a walled area just across an alley which local rowdies choose to use as a place to sit at night, talking, shouting and singing for hours. On Saturday night I was kept awake until 3:30 a.m. by these... More

We sort of wondered into the restaurant after a day of sight seeing, tired and thirsty. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive and the meal for both of us was excellent. Fish and chips and a roast bee sandwich were both fresh well prepared and reasonably priced. Highly recommend it.

This is fairly local to us but we hadn't visited for lunch since their refurbishment. We took friends from out of our area and we were all very impressed. The lunch menu caters for all tastes and appetites and is fairly priced. The staff without fail were all very engaging and pleasant and the pace of service was spot on.... More
