advised by b&b there were 3 good places to eat and chose this one, really pleased we did as went back a second night too, told they have an excellent chef and this must be correct as food was great and service good as busy all the time, can eat in bar or tabled area. Full of locals in bar... More

We have been to this pub for a haddock and chips lunch each year for the past 10 years, but never ever again, they have lost us as future customers. Each previous year - the haddock was a large one, cooked to perfection and which filled the plate and usually too much eat, always some left over for our two... More

Nice pub with good outside area at the back if the weather is kind. First time we had found a pub or a restaurant that had gluten free batter for fish and chips. Landlady said they had only just discovered G/F batter and I have to admit that it didnt taste any different from normal batter. Good portions of food... More

Stopped in for a drink to enjoy the evening sun in the beer garden - very nice. Plenty of seats outside. Decided to have some dinner and this is where is started to go wrong. I ordered the Solva crab and my partner ordered the haddock and chips. The haddock and chips was fine but both the fish and the... More

After all the positive reviews we expected much better. Despite ours being the first order of the evening it took 50 minutes for our main courses to arrive and when they did we had to send 4 of the 5 back because they were cold. Instead of recooking the dishes from scratch 'chef' decided to microwave them. This turned the... More

We visited last night after reading positive reviews on here and were very disappointed There were four of us and we ordered the nachos to share between us as a starter They were very good and the hot salsa was very hot and enjoyable Sadly after a plate of crisps it all went downhill Two of us ordered haddock and... This pub is the 'local' pub in St Davids. On any evening you'll catch the local characters enjoying there favourite tipples. It does great meals. The lunches are super, you can dine 'alfresco overlooking the Cathedral and Bishop's Palace. A lovely place to finish off your day exploring both sites.

We recently spent a week in a self catering cottage in St David's and chose the Farmer's Arms for a meal on our first evening. Despite a very busy bar (F A Cup Final was on) we were shown to a quiet table just a few yards from a back bar servicing the restaurant area and the delightful beer garden.... More

Called in for an early lunch on bank holiday weekend. Had Ploughman's and mackerel salad and apple caramel pie to share and drinks. Attentive staff and very friendly bar lady. Called in on the evening for a drink. Packed with a great atmosphere and so far after 3 meals in St Davids this was the best one.

We had a delicious meal. I had the bangers and mash and the sausages were cooked perfectly and had plenty of mashed potatoes and peas. My husband had beef stew with mushrooms and mashed potatoes and green beans. Also excellent. The portion size was large. I couldn't eat all the potatoes. Everything was served very hot which we thoroughly enjoy.
