As a group of eight we were wanting quality food quickly. Not disappointed, lovely fish and chips served quickly. Cannot fault the service or delicious fish and chips.

Fish and chips are tasty, but very expensive. For us they aren't outstanding enough for the money, the view as you eat them on the front almost is though!

Have visited the takeaway many times it is a holiday ritual. Ate there this afternoon, the chips were not as good as previous visits but this could be forgiven. The fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was crisp and tasty. Never had anything from here that was badly cooked. Will continue to frequent this fine frying establishment.

Lovely fish spoiled by too thick batter and chips which had obviously been part cooked the day before, very dry and bitty , £8. Plus for fish and chips and a portion of chips

Ate in the so called 'Bistro'?, but food was still poor even given the increased prices to sit upstairs. The menu suggests something better but the grilled plaice was watery and the chips were soggy and full of fat. Altogether an expensive and unpleaseant meal. The young man serving-on was, however, very pleasant. For only £1 more, we had a... More

Ate at both the upstairs bistro and the downstairs chip shop. Both were ok but nothing special. In the bistro I asked for my mushroom risotto without Parmesan cheese but was served with the cheese. It was quickly replaced but as there were only us and one other couple dining on a Tuesday evening there was no real excuse for... More

We didn't eat in the restaurant but the quality of the fish and chips from below was superb. There were 2 lovley pieces of fish in our portions in a really nice batter, the chips were lovely too and a nice seating are to eat in if you wish. Everything cooked fresh and decent value.
