Christmas Day Lunch

Had a gorgeous Christmas Day lunch with friends . The vegetarian meal which two of us had was excellent. The service was fantastic and Becka, Jay and Gill (the landlady ) were so friendly and caring it made the whole experience exceptional.

The size of the portions of food was good and you could see there was some effort to give a bistro look to the food, which sort of worked. The service was also relatively prompt given that this largish sized restaurant only had three sets of customers attending. However, the service was overbearing (in my husband's opinion) and the room... More

room fine, clean, well decorated and we paid extra for sea view. A re-position of the tiny TV would be helpful as difficult to see from bed. first night food and service good but second night a different story, too short staffed for number of diners. We explained the problem next morning and to be fair they dealt with our... More

I'm usually reluctant to write negative reviews as it's not my style at all, especially since I am local to this restaurant and like to support local businesses and extend invites to them when my friends come over from different parts of the country. However the meal that I reluctantly paid for at Trecastell this time was so awful that... More

Just returned from taking family to the Trecastell for Sunday lunch. The starter was great but the carvery was even better, meats, stuffing, roast spuds, cauliflower cheese and yorkies from the carvery but fresh veg, mash and gravy cooked fresh and taken to your table waiting for your return from the carvery. Today was our first visit to the Trecastell... More

I went out with my sister and my Neice for a lovely meal we all started with the mussels in a variety of sauces from blue cheese, garlic and cream and tomato and chilli. All excellent. The Brie and mushroom parcel and baileys brûlée followed for me to complete a perfect meal.

We went for only 2 nights but came home relaxed and unstressed. The room was clean and comfy with a sea view so relaxing. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The breakfasts were freshly cooked not laid out on hot plates like some places where the eggs swim in fat! The staff were... More

The food especially good with fresh caught mussels with a sauce of your choice..Anglesey is a must if you`ve never been as the views are amazing.
