This used to be an attractive little house to drive past on the A5 on the way to Bangor. Now it has become a café. We went with friends for a snack and were given a menu which seemed quite extensive. What we ordered came without much delay and was very tasty. Pleasant staff too.

Great location, with lovely gardens and building. Had a lovely meal here. Portions were very big. Felt the prices were expensive. Family of 4 came to nearly £50. Smaller portions and lower prices may be a good way forward.

We visited the Ugly House whilst on holiday driving through Snowdonia. The house is so unique and beautiful (definitely not ugly!) This house has a tea room and small shop inside. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch of a turkey sandwich served with salad, and homemade scotch egg with salad. The food was exceptional; fresh, tasty and good portion sizes. Thank... More

Great spot to have a break on your way to the Swallow Falls. Lovely cakes and home made bites. I also purchased flower seeds and locally produced honey, making perfect memories and gifts.

What a gem - we stopped here as the name was intriguing - glad we did. The place was cosy and we ate a huge platter of salad and meat topped off with lattes and home made cake. Would recommend a stop here.

We stopped over on a thoroughly miserable day and what a treat! They had a lovely fire going and it was toasty inside. Our tea and Welsh cakes were delicious! Afterwards we took a ramble in the lovely garden once the rain had subsided a bit.

Chance encounter late afternoon. Asked for tea and scones. DELICIOUS. Even the tea itself was brilliant. This was not ordinary tea bag tea. This was proper! The scones were tasty too. Perfect afternoon indulgence. Toilets very environmentally friendly. The place is run by the Snowdon Society and also sells plants. Proceeds go towards environmental projects in the National Park.

I have driven past over the years and finally stopped here at the ugly house, what a delight. We had loose leaf tea and homemade cakes. The garden surrounding the house can be rambled around, it is such that wildlife is encouraged to live there.
