Staff were very pleasant. Food was average but nice apart from garlic bread was very tough, left it by choice. Otherwise ok.

Popped into the road for a quick ping whilst my Sunday roast was cooking and was impressed. The road was recommended to me as one of the best pubs around and it certainly lived up to the hype. Lovely pub with very friendly staff and...More
The Toad is a pub. However, the food is a surprise! An extremely pleasant surprise. I have eaten in high end restaurants where the food has not been of such high quality. Well done Toad, keep it up.
Was given a choice of were to sit service is very good food is freshly cooked and delicious lunchtime menu is light we had the stir fried chicken would highly recommend
Enjoyed a delightful lamb shank with seasonal roasted vegetables and a lovely pint of birra morreti - followed by a boot to my big toe. Would’ve been 5 out of 5 without the injury!
Visited here for our wedding anniversary the other day. Passed this place many times and finally ate their, well, it was a very nice meal in pleasant surroundings overlooking the seafront. Advisable to book if you want a table near a window.
Booked late yesterday morning for Sunday lunch and not disappointed, excellent service and food, even better than when we last visited. Highly recommended.

Went for Sunday lunch & it was really superb. Pate delicious & roast beef exceptional. Presentation 5 stars!
The service and food was very good, it was situated next to the sea front. Not sure about access for disabled, as there were steps up to the main entrance. There was setting outside, to be used in good weather.
