Popped in for a cup of tea and Sunday lunch after walking around the waterfalls. The tea was weak (one teabag in a big tea pot) which my son was fine with, I just had to let mine brew for longer. The food was plentiful and tasty, plenty of veg and nice gravy, we all left full and happy.

We had thoroughly enjoyed the waterfalls walks but were hot, tired and hungry. The New Inn provided a great meal for us sitting in the shade outdoors. Excellent service and friendly staff rounded off a wonderful day.

We went here on a recommendation from a local, Its a little traditional pub in the middle of no where, its very old fashioned and that does add some charm but there is a difference between old world and just falling to bits lol. We had a couple of pints of local beer, the first one we ordered was off... More

Lunched here before setting off on the wonderful Waterfalls walk. Comfortable seating at a nice big table. More importantly, a decent choice of straightforward, well-sourced food, including local ham, a number of different vegan pies, a VERY large Ploughman's and excellent freshly-cooked chips. The perfect prelude to - and fuel for - a long, strenuous walk.

We called into this cosy little pub following a log and tiring walk to the waterfalls. The weather was beautiful so we sat in the pub garden at the rear of the building. It was lovely and quiet. There were plenty of water bowls placed around for our dog to have a long drink and a snooze on the grass... More

We were parked at the 4 falls trail when we were given the flyer for this pub. It is a very dog friendly pub and the proof is that they even serve dog beers and dog crisps. A very unique proposition. The food and drinks options were very good too. Had the traditional lamb stew which was very good. Only... More

Having enjoyed 2 of the 4 waterfalls on the Waterfall Walk from the car park at Gwaun Hepste, we found a flyer on our car promoting The New Inn at Ystradfellte which is just down the road. Desperate for a cup of tea we dropped in and although they didn't have cream teas available, we were offered huge chunks of... More

Went for a visit to the waterfalls and took a wrong turn and found this beauty! I cannot praise enough. The food was out of this world and the desserts...soo nice to have homemade food instead of the brewery frozen food. The staff were super friendly , and they were amazing with our dogs, very welcoming and had dog beer... More

We had just left Waterfall country driving north towards Brecon and were hoping to find somewhere for lunch when we came across the New Inn in Ystradfellte. Coming from the car park, I walked past the unattractive PVC front door, mistaking it for a side entrance and I had to re-trace my steps before entering. Inside, is a single spacious... More

We discovered this place by accident having done the Waterfalls Walk and what a welcome discovery it was! Friendly, welcoming staff with tasty food and nice atmosphere. They're also very dog friendly with doggie biscuits, treats and beer! :) We would not hesitate in recommending this place to family and friends and we'll be back. I should also mention the... More
