After walking around the waterfalls we came across a leaflet that had been put on our car for this pub, very friendly staff, lovely quick lunch and the pub was quaint, with character and welcomed walkers, dogs etc.....will definitely visit again.

Flyers put on cars at local waterfalls car park promise of log fires and a welcome to families walkers and dogs. Sounds ideal. Unfortunately they couldn't be bothered with a fire and no beers available so was offered cider? Ordered a coffee that took half a pint to appear and a few mins later for the milk! Couple of hand... Nice friendly pub trying hard under new management. Food ok, nothing special. Glad to see it well supported by the local community- lots of young farmers visiting!

My husband and I stumbled across this 16th century pub in the walkers' paradise near Ystradfellte waterfalls around six months ago and were delighted by its quaint charm, the friendly welcome and the fact that they had fresh home-baked banana cake and custard on offer! That was certain to win my husband over - and it did. We made a... More

I really cannot recommend this pub based on my experience. When we arrived at about 7.00pm we were told that they could not serve us a meal. Then, as we turned to leave we were told they could, and we settled down to order. The meal, when it came, was bland and used the cheapest ingredients, which although fresh, was... More

We stopped here today, for a drink, after walking up Fan Nedd with our dog. The staff were very friendly - especially the "humble barman". There was no problem bringing our beagle into the bar area (and the sign outside does say "We welcome dogs"). The barman brought our dog a welcome bowl of water - thanks! We didn't eat... More

Served by very friendly bar staff. Had a totally delicious lunch of home cooked pea and ham soup with fresh baked soda bread. Tried a very tasty and delicious home made mulled cider followed by clotted cream cake. Now I need their recipes to make myself!!

Under New Management. Situated on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park & right in the heart of Waterfall Country is The New Inn Ystradfellte. We are a 16th Centuary traditional Welsh Pub with many original features & beer garden. We serve delicious locally sourced food including meat from Brecon & sea food from a local Fish Monger. We also cater well for vegetarians & vegans If you are walking the local waterfalls or the Dinas Rock or visiting local caves, visiting Penderyn Distillery, nearby Pen Y Fan or any of our surrounding areas such as Brecon, Hay on Wye, Abergavenny, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath, Swansea, Cardiff & many others please visit us, you can be assured of a hearty meal, a friendly welcome & a pint of local ale. We are dog friendly & have camping facilities (please enquire over the phone of in the pub). Please note we are small country pub but we can get very busy particularly on weekends so if you can make a reservation we strongly advise it to avoid disappointment. Please note we cook only a Sunday Roast on Sunday's as we do not have the facilities to run a menu as well.
