The service was great, our server was friendly, and the food was excellent. We had the loaded french fries, the salmon and veggies were well prepared, and the chocolate cake was excellent. We had a Merlot that was very good. We sat at a table with...a nice view of the river. I observed a ductless air conditioner and the temperature was well regulated on this hot days. I would be a regular if we lived in this area. We went for a nice walk on the nearby river after the meal.More

Air conditioner has been out all summer. If you like to eat in a Sauna, this is the place for you! It is in a really nice area, however, the owners don't seem to care about the comfort of their customers. I can't imagine how...hot the kitchen must be. Best wishes to the staff!More

We had heard glowing reviews of this restaurant from various friends. We stopped by on a Saturday morning with family, for a lite breakfast / lunch. The wait staff was friendly, although our waitress was new and could not answer any questions we asked of...the menu items. We had a collection of different items, pancakes, sandwich wraps, artichoke dip, and coffee / tea. The food was O.K. but nothing outstanding. The service was O.K. but nothing outstanding. I was disappointed there are absolutely no views of the river from inside the restaurant. I have nothing bad to say about the restaurant, but it was underwhelming after all we had been told.More

To preface all of this, I really don’t like to leave bad reviews of restaurants, because as a chef myself, I understand how difficult the job can be, especially now during the pandemic where staff is short and hours are long. What I will not...abide, however, is select attention and apathy toward a customer’s experience - it is ok to fail sometimes if you at least try your best… Nobody was trying their best here. Place was busy, I get that, but the place is always busy. I know this because I used to be the executive chef of Paulettes, the fine dining restaurant owned by the same hotel across the street. That’s a whole other story. Despite being busy, we were set rather expeditiously which was nice, but looking back now, I would have rather sat up front by the host stand so that I wouldn’t have the expectation that food was coming. I ordered the cheddar BBQ burger with a beyond patty, my wife ordered the spinach artichoke benedict. We waited for that order for an hour and seven minutes. I kept an eye on my watch after the first half hour went by. My cheddar BBQ burger showed up without BBQ sauce, my wife’s spinach and artichoke benedict showed up with ham and no spinach or artichoke, raw English muffins, hard boiled eggs, and next to no hollandaise. But none of this mattered because we didn’t have any silverware and my wife took it upon herself to get up and go to the server station and grab two setups on her own. But hey, the Bloody Mary was good! Throw in a ten minute fire alarm and a server who just didn’t notice any of this, and you have a pretty accurate picture of our experience. We still tipped 20% because that’s just what you do. But as a chef, I would have some notices of termination to fill out. Should’ve known not to come there in the first place with intimate knowledge of how some of the management regards its workers. Ok I’m done.More

This delightful restaurant offers a variety of delicious morsels and succulent cocktails. Highly recommended for anyone who can bear the high temperatures of the restaurant's atmosphere. It has become clear, after several patronages, that Tug's ownership cares more about a slight, ephemeral differential in economic...prosperity than the comfort of its customers or staff. On a regular basis, Tug's operates at temperatures exceeding 85 F. This is a repugnant abuse of power and lack of consideration by the owners and remedies must be taken to improve the comfort of their environment.More

Worst food and service. Don’t waste your money or time here. There are many good restaurants in Memphis but this is not one of them. We are local and tried to continue to support but the quality has deteriorated to the point that we won’t...be back.More

I used to go to Tugs with my daughter for lunch quite frequently. In the end, the food was greasy and unappetizing. We would leave and feel quite queasy the rest of the day. The food is overpriced. Only thing positive I can say is...that it is convenient to the island. But people on the island are now actively chosing other options. Tugs- you can do better!!!More

This was a very bad meal experiance. Mostly do to a very bad server. She appeared to be very high and twitchy. She forgot our order. I had to go to the bar to get our sodas and tea refilled several times. When the meal...was completed I had to go find her and ask for our bill. When she brought the bill there where several items on the bill we did not order. She stated she would fix it. Another 20 minutes, and I had to go find her again to get our bill. Needless to say I left no tip. a quick dinner took almost two hours. I will state the food was good and the place was nice.More

We just returned from having dinner at this restaurant. We ate outdoors to enjoy the fresh air. My wife & I ordered a cup of gumbo, and fried catfish, sweet potato fries, and hush puppies. It took over 20 minutes to get the gumbo, the...rice was uncooked. Then the catfish entree came. The breading was thick, and the catfish so thin, it was nearly invisible. The hush puppies and sweet potato’s were hard as a rock, and cold. While there, we seen other patrons sending their food back. No “ how was your meal” or any follow-up By the waiter. I had to go inside to ask our waiter for our bill. All in all, don’t waste your appetite, and money.More

Wonderful evening where the staff happily catered to our dog, seated us with a tremendous view of the park and river and sunset. The menu is well prepared and has a good selection of American food.

Stopped in for after dinner drinks and lacy was our server. She recommended the winter special "pink" drink which was awesome. She provided awesome service and was very socialable and attentive. Will definitely ask for her for future visits.
