This was one of our favorite places. The music was excellent and the food was amazing. Great venue for music. It was raining the night we were there so we sat inside. I had short rib tacos which were the best I have ever had....Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. Staff was very friendly. Drinks were expensive but we expected that. Madison Ave was not as crowded as Beale St so it was nice not to fight the crowds for one night.More

Visited with a friend on a Thursday night. We had reservations for 5:30pm. We arrived 10 min early via Uber and were seated immediately. We got a table right near the band downstairs. First of all, they make their food in-house so I loved that....The chips, the salsa, the queso, the dressings. First we ordered the tortilla chips with salsa and queso. Their salsa is DELICIOUS! If they sold it, I would have bought a bottle of it! The chips were fresh and the queso was warm and tasty. Our waitress Stephanie helped us decide on food and dessert. We also got a visit from Rosco, the manager, who chatted with us a while. Very nice staff. I had the Reuben with a side salad. Simple, classic sandwich on rye with just enough sauce and cheese to make it a chewy and very flavorful meal. The buttermilk dressing was house made and added a good flavor to the house side salad which had roasted tomatoes that were also delicious (and I don't usually eat the tomatoes in my salads). My friend had the house dinner salad which she enjoyed very much. We would definitely, for sure, 100% come back. Great place all around! Can't say enough good stuff about it!More

We were in town for a pair of Raul Malo solo shows at this venue. We came for the music(which was outstanding in every way) but would go back for the food as well! We were all very pleased with our food. Pictured are the...tuna tacos! Can't forget to mention the outstanding service! Check it out sometime!More

The square has done some changing over many years and Lafayettes is the corner stone of this area. The night I came out was a little chilly and they had a patio and balcony with heaters avalible for people to be comfortable in these areas....Everything was very easy to do for the covid procedures and the staff was great about information in a polite manner. Ordering dinner i got the shrimp and grits, it was Fantastic lots of sausage and shrimp with a nice soup from the ingredients that I would have loved to dip some French bread in. Mentioned it to Julian the manager and he was all over it that that was a good idea that for those people that still eat "carbs" could have a order option of bread with that meal. The drinks are fairly priced and I was very happy with beer options. The portions were good as well not small but not huge. It's sharable with some bread I'm positive. The music is great and loud. That's awesome if that's what you came for. If you came to eat and talk then enjoy the music and go to the patio or balcony to have your conversations. Parking is easy in garage behind the restaurant. I highly recommend it. Menu has change since the shut down and it's better than ever.More

Due to the ongoing pandemic my fiancee and I ordered delivery from here. She got the street tacos and I ordered the jambalaya pasta. Both were very good and came piping hot. Bonus was the to-go containers were microwave and dishwasher safe so if an...individual can save the environment by reusing.More

I visited for lunch on a Saturday. Upstairs was open and balcony full. We were very impressed with the menu, quality of food and that made it hard to decide. The service had great suggestions and we did not go wrong. I would love to...come back for the bands. Highly recommend this place!More

Went there to have dinner and listen to Jack Rowell. Both were great. They were quite busy but our server, Chelsy, was fast, courteous and efficient. All this and a military discount to boot. We'll be back. Crab dip....mmmmm. Salmon salad....excellent Salmon sandwich....wonderful

We visited on a Friday afternoon with a large party of 15, ages 17 to 80 my 20+ year old daughters picked it. we were seated immediately as the place was quiet, I am assuming they are packed at night when they have performances. My...Uncle (80) told me later that he was nervous when we walked in, maybe because it was so quiet and dark, but he said it was a fantastic meal, and he fully enjoyed it. I wish I could remember all the great dishes we tried, many new and local dishes, that Were all unique and delicious. Most of the plates were empty and plenty of sharing was done so everyone tried a little of everything. I would have loved to be there at night during performances, but that will have to wait for another time. Service was great also, which can be hard with a large party. I remembered we tried the gumbo and jambalaya, something not available in my neck of the woods. I do not try new things, but took a couple bites offered, and it was delicious. There was also a beer bread for dipping, which we could not get enough of. My 17 year old who can eat forever without getting full, tried the banana fosters and was very happy with his choice. He did not share, so I can not confer on dessert.More

We started out with chicken and sausage soup. Which was excellent for lunch I had the redfish Poboy with macaroni and cheese it was one of the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had with a little hint of spiceiness. I definitely recommend this place...although we did not see any live music it was a perfect place to view a band with double level seating for music pleasure and dinner delight. I plan on going back there and listening to some live music and try their dessert which is excellent. Ask for Amanda or Amber and they will definitely take care of you they were wonderfulMore

A fun place to listen to live music and enjoy some good food. We went on a Saturday night and sat upstairs. We ate the Korean pork and some gumbo. It was kind of spicy but good. Make sure you make a reservation.
