Been to this restaurant every time I've gone to Memphis and it is always predictably great. The ribs are great as well as the smoked salmon appetizer.

We went with small appetites and still absolutely loved it. We want to go back for a full meal. Lots of locals eating here in a basically tourist area.

Quite possibly the best steak I've ever had, in a wonderful old movie palace setting. Great location, a short walk from hotels and not far from Beale St. Great for a date or a group. A++.

Chose the Majestic for Sunday brunch during a brief stay. Can't say enough about the food and atmosphere. Just fantastic! Don't miss the breakfast flatbread and the "pour your own" mimosa's! We ordered the flatbread for the table and shared before we all enjoyed one...More

This place is in a classic building downtown. We enjoyed a very delicious and reasonable signature flatbread with smoked salmon and capers. Sitting outside provides a great "first" Memphis people watching stop on the way to Beale Street or a concert at Fed Ex Forum,...More

This was a fabulous place for lunch. Our server, Mike, was WONDERFUL! We got 2 cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwich and a crispy chicken sandwich. All were great. Large screen playing old Charlie Chaplan movies gave some nice ambiance. We all got a small sampling of...More

We were in Memphis for the weekend and are here on Saturday night. We arrived early, before 5:00. All of the tables were reserved, so we could sit outside or at the bar. We chose the bar. We were served drinks quickly. The bartender was...More

Delicious food and neat atmosphere with black and white movie playing on big screen inside the restaurant. Service was poor but the food is what we were there for. Ribs, chicken, steak oscar, and salmon were delicious. Mashed potatoes were good as well.

You definitely need reservations. We arrived at 5 pm from out of town before a theater performance and were told they had a full house already reserved. We could eat al fresco-about 100 degrees on the pavement, or at the... More

Description
While dining at The Majestic Grille you might expect to see Myrna Loy & William Powell sitting at the bar, zinging witty one-liners at each other over ice-cold martinis. Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol'. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly's award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you're center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen. Named Best Restaurant, Best Brunch and Best Chef, The Majestic Grille has won accolades in regional and national press. As a community gathering spot for the Arts, The Majestic Grille offers up a dining experience that delights all the senses! Whether sipping a mimosa at our 'Ultimate' Sunday Brunch, hosting a business dinner in a private room, or watching the trolley roll by on our beautiful patio, we invite you to join us for a special dining experience in our historic downtown location. We look forward to seeing you soon, Deni & Patrick Reilly
