We made reservations through their website. Not only did they call and confirm a few days prior but I also received a text-message confirmation. After finding street metered parking along Peabody Place (recommended over the much higher priced lots in the same area), we arrived and were promptly seated. We were warmly greeted by our server and ordered drinks which were VERY reasonably priced: A Poinsettia and Bloody Mary for $4 each! Brunch was presented along with a basket of biscuits and butter. I had the Smoked Salmon Hash with Cheddar Cheese Grits added. My husband had the Bacon-Bleu Burger with a cup of Chili (which was the soup of the day) added. Both dishes were EXCELLENT! His burger was cooked to his specifications and generously topped with bleu cheese. We were very pleased we chose the Majestic for Brunch. The setting was very neat; we caught a glimpse of the silent movie playing from time to time and the vibe within the restaurant was lively and comfortable. We felt we were in a very hip place. Ha! We highly recommend it to others.

We treated our great niece and nephew to dinner at Majestic before attending a performance of Aladdin at the Orpheum. Upon arrival we were promptly seated and soon after ordered our meals. All the entrees arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Hiwever, the 7 yr old's hamburger, ordered off the children's menu, was not edible. The bun was dry and the burger difficult to even cut with a knife! She was turned off by the disappointment and did not want to even reorder. She did eat the French fries. Hard to ruin a simple hamburger, but Majestic did!
Our other four entrees were very good.

My husband I had Saturday brunch here on a very cold February day. Brunch seems to be a thing here—although we were able to get in without reservations, the restaurant was very busy so service was a little slow. No worries though—we weren’t in a hurry to go anywhere. We started with a hot whisky toddy, which hit the spot for that weather. The menu was standard brunch fare; it was tasty but I wouldn’t say there was anything exceptional. The venue is an old theater which you really wouldn’t know except for an insipid cartoon that relentlessly repeats itself playing on a large screen at the far end of the restaurant. The architecture is interesting, table arrangements unique, but really need to loose that cartoon screen—took away from the whole vibe.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here. I had French toast (delicious), another had the crab cake benedict, and the others had the eggs, bacon and biscuit entree. Everyone enjoyed their meal. But, it's beyond me as to why you would order the egg entree when their were so many wonderful options! The restaurant is very noisy.

What could be more fun than having lunch at a former movie theater where they show black & white silent films on the screen while you dine? Probably going to a real theater and having popcorn! The ambiance of The Majestic was fun, but the service was terrible, especially when there are very few patrons to begin with. When we first arrived, it seemed great, the movie was playing, we were seated, and drinks came fast. We ordered and the appetizer came fairly quickly; thankful we got the appetizer because 30-minutes later our overcooked, lukewarm burgers came along with COLD fries. The wait staff never returned to fill our drinks while we ate; had to walk to the bar and request refills. Just like the theater before it, perhaps the Majestic should go silently into the night.

Finally, our fav pub is alive again. Thank God. Not as many tables. My fav is their salmon starter. Sometimes I order it for lunch and pair it with Pinot Noir. Friday I had the blue cheese burger and the famous fries that are sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Ouf friends who invited us to dinner for helping them with a recent fender bender enjoyed a flatbread plus the fish special. My wife picked that salmon starter and nibbled on m y fries. The owner stopped by for a chat welcoming us back.

Because of the pandemic, we are not eating indoors at restaurants. The Majestic has a large outdoor seating area, but it was full when we checked in. The hostess saved the next available table outside for us. The service was excellent. Watching people and the street cars passing was entertaining. My mushroom flat bread was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his grilled salmon BLT with Parmesan fries. This is a great place if you're visiting Memphis but also popular with residents I'm told.

There are lots of eating establishments in the Beale Street area of Memphis, so it's really hard to pick one when you're travelling the area. When we finally decided on the Majestic Grill, their reservations for dinner were full, but we stopped in anyway on the off chance we might get seated at the bar. It was a lovely evening, so when we were offered the choice of the bar or the patio, we chose the patio. Didn't get to experience the atmosphere of the old theatre inside, but it was still interesting sitting outside and watching everything flowing along the street - streetcar trolleys, horse drawn tours, and a great variety of people just strolling along. Service was good, friendly and efficient. The food was fine, well, more than fine, but nothing outstanding. The onion rings appetizer needs to be mentioned - they were quite something - about the size of donuts, stacked high on a plate and quite delicious. They were quite literally a meal in themselves. The meal itself had generous portions, nicely presented. All in all, a very nice evening, and I glad we stopped in.

The restaurant atmosphere was unique in that it looked like it had once been a movie theater from the early to mid 1900's. It was beautiful and formal, yet the atmosphere allowed for casual. Our waitress, Grace, made excellent recommendations and we each had a superb meal. Grace was impressive with her ability to thoroughly describe menu items and she did a great job with her dessert tray presentation. She completed the dining experience.

Central located, fancy place with nice little booths for the four of us. We shared a good peporoni flatbread and some grilled calamari with a good spicy sauce. I had the blue cheese burger, rich filled with bacon, green, onions, tomato slice and a great meat patty , big but still good fit to hand, with loads od parmesan fries. Big and tasty. Decent price for burger with fries was 13 usd. Good selection of steaks and drinks.

On a weekend getaway trip to Memphis, we decided to make a reservation here due the the historical background…plus we live steaks. We happened to be in the area about an hour before our reservation and decided to see if they could seat us early, which amazingly was an accommodation they could make! We were seated in a booth on the wall (score) in their lovely dining room.
Our server popped over quickly with waters and took our cocktail order, a couple of house bourbon concoctions. We ordered a Caesar Salad to share, each had the 8 oz filet (mine was au poivre) and an order of sautéed spinach. The food was delicious and well prepared, all of it including my fries! They do have bread they bring which are cut in smaller pieces and realllllllllly good. It was some sort of white bread, ask for it if they don’t automatically bring to your table.
Our server was incredibly attentive and checked in on us often, but not too often. The whole experience was wonderful.

Memphis isn't all Graceland and Beale Street. An evening at the Majestic Grille, where steaks and upscale American fare is dished up in a grand 1913 movie house showing silent films, makes for wonderful dinner and entertainment. Located at 145 South Main Street, in Fifty Peabody Place, Majestic Grille is open from 4 to 9 Tuesday through Friday and 4 to 9 on Saturday. Chef/owner Patrick Reilly has fashioned a classic restaurant that would make Rudolph Valentino and Mary Pickford proud. For starters, my wife and I shared cornmeal crusted calamari, house smoked salmon and Caesar salad with Romaine, grated parmesan, croutons and creamy garlic dressing. For her entree, my wife chose an eight-ounce filet with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. I opted for a 12-ounce filet with blue cheese crust, six sauteed shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes and sugar glazed carrots. For dessert, we couldn't pass up a chance to share a large slice of key lime pie and a plate of strawberry shortcake. The only thing we missed were the ducks.

We chose the Majestic Grille on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews (thanks folks!). It is FAB! A beautifully repurposed former cinema, the room is gorgeous and so is the food and the people. I had an amazing T-bone steak, whilst Mrs S had delicious swordfish. Our server, Madi was the star of the show; amazingly friendly and helpful, she really made us feel welcome in Memphis (and got us talking to fellow diners).
Don’t miss it!

Fantastic food and service. The meals were so good, we came back again for the last meal of our trip. They also allow substitutions, which for those of us with dietary restrictions is a great help. Mini-dessert shooters are just enough for a sweet finish to the evening. The Art Deco space and ambience is wonderful, especially the video of old shows like The Addams Family and Three Stooges.
Great place to go for dinner if you are seeing a show at the Orpheum, or just spending time downtown. Highly recommend!

A group of us chose this restaurant for lunch based upon the Trip Advisor reviews and none of us were disappointed at all. I had the lunch special which was a shaved ribeye sandwich and it was fantastic. Other guests had soup and salad and burger choices and all were extremely pleased. We also had the flight of dessert cups at the end which perfectly finished off the meal! Kudos to the staff for their efficiency and cleanliness in the restaurant. It was a huge step up from our previous Beale Street choices!!
