Had the shrimp basket for a quick lunch at Flying Fish. Shrimp was great & fries crispy on the outside & soft & warm inside just how I like them. If you park in the parking lot at the end of the block be prepared to pay $8.00 for 2 hr. parking. A mistake we made!!

This place is cute and quirky and the food was great. It's such a fun family atmosphere. If you're in Memphis, stop by and grab some good grub

The fried catfish was fabulous and not greasy. Cool atmosphere. Clearly a place that locals enjoy. Reasonable prices. The bathrooms were very clean (always an important measurement for me).

This restaurant is one of the best in Downtown Memphis. The catfish is excellent and always fresh. It's a good place to go for a quick meal. The decor is fun.

Concierge at Peabody suggested this for a casual and convenient early dinner for us weary travelers. Menu was all 'order at the counter' and self - served beverages, but ok. Large portions, gigantic beers, mostly fried stuff. Super casual.

Interior reminiscent of a fishing cabin / lodge, with lots of kitsch on the walls, the menu strong in shore lunch / Cajun fish preparations. Catfish, shrimp, etc. in baskets, on tacos, with hush puppies, fries, etc. All good, not great, but much better than anything else for the price in the area. Worth a stop, have a basket of... More

The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. The hush puppies were the best I've ever had-they just melted in my mouth! My husband said it was the best fried catfish he had eaten in a very long time. I've been telling everyone about the Flying Fish. If we go back to Memphis, we will definitely eat here again.

Flying Fish was very good!!! Worth going to eat!!! Fried Shrimp, catfish, and Oysters were very good... battered very good seasoned... You know I to try the seafood gumbo... it was good but the roux was too thick and bland on the seasoning... overall.. I would recommend this place!!!!

After several days in Nashville and Memphis, we were looking for something other than BBQ. We try not to spend a fortune on meals while we travel, and Flying Fish was just right! VERY casual and reasonably priced, with patient (while we decided what to order) pleasant employees, and delicious food! I had salmon, which was perfect. My husband had... More

We were tired of burgers and BBQ and stumbled upon this little treasure . The reviews convinced me to try it . You order at the counter and then they call you when your food is ready . If you don't like seafood I'm it sure you would like this place . I had oysters and my husband tried the... More
