Alfred's has a huge deck overlooking BB King Blvd and Beale. Best spot for people watching on Beale hands down. The food was also excellent. My wife had the BBQ shrimp and I had the sausage and cheese platter. Both were excellent. The tap beer list was not impressive for malt beer lovers. There are many BBQ choices on the... More

WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! Got there at about 6. Had to wait 20 minutes before the staff even looked at us. We had an appointment at 8 so we were in a bit of a rush. The greasy/sticky menue sheet did not look too nice. We ordered food by about 6:30 and waited, and waited. By 7:30 we had ONLY... More

Alfred's is one of Beale Street's mainstays, and offers a great menu! The staff is efficient and friendly, and they offer live music! During the warm months, their patio and deck are prime people-watching spots, overlooking Beale Street.

We wanted to get some good food and listen to some live music. We found both at Alfred's! The staff were terrific. Really reasonable prices.

The food and service weren't great here, but we couldn't get in anywhere else at 8 pm on a warm Saturday night in February. Two waitresses handling the rooftop area. There was a bar up there, but it wasn't open, so every time someone ordered a drink, one of the waitresses would disappear for another 10 minutes to go downstairs.... More

Well if I don't mind being thirsty and begging for a drink. It's a great place. Roomy. Great entertainment. The poem nachos are tasty but I had to chase down someone to get them. Went to bar to get a drink and was ignored. So. If u get a waiter keep him. And enjoy the tunes

Walking down Beale Street looking for a place to eat, we decided on Alfred's. The reason? They had their menu posted outside so we had a chance to see what they offered. Inside was clean and roomy. They have live music during the evening but it wasn't while we were there. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the catfish... More

This is just another finger food restaurant. The chicken fingers were large breaded chicken breasts. The service was good and the prices average.

Awesome Johnny Cash Tribute band playing. Food was blah. There were four Memphis cops at the table next to us, eating dinner. We picked up their tabs. The waiter informed us that the owners give the police a discount. For that, I'm giving this place 4 stars. Otherwise, it would have been 3. Food isn't great. We had the fried... More

I had decided that I wanted to eat lunch on Beale Street after walking around downtown Memphis and looking at the sights. I walked up and down Beale Street looking at several places before I chose to go back and eat at Alfred's. I was greeted promptly by a young man who took my drink order and gave me the... More
