Upon my arrival to Memphis, I wanted excellent food selection. After asking the driver and the front desk agent they both selected this location. The Initial question was for a glass of wine. The selection was Barefoot, not what I was looking for. The service was not great upon arrival and getting seated. I had to ask do I seat... More

Blues City provides some good Blues at the corner of Beale and 2nd but it also has great food. The ribs are good but my fave is a steak already cut in big juicy pieces, get extra potato with a salad.. cause sharing makes any dinner special. So stop in and share not only some of those down home blues... More

We were passing through Memphis with friends and made our way down to Beale Street. We asked around for recommendations for ribs. Well, everyone has their favorite, so we decided to try the Blue City Café. Their ribs are a moist variety, which I found to be very good. The meat falls off the bone and was delicious. Our meal... we tasted many foods and just everything was super delicious here. My favorite were gumbo, fried, chicken, shrimps, and catfish. Leave some room for their delicious deserts: apple crumble pie in hot skillet topped with delicious vanilla ice cream and pecan apple pie also with vanilla ice cream. Service and atmosphere are excellent.

I asked a few of the locals what the best restaurant was on Beale St. All said BCC. This was a wonderful meal! And, it was gluten free! Go with the ribs. Amazing. All of the sides were equally good. Dessert was wonderful, too!

Our group of five ate there last night. The live band in the lower room sounded good, but the music was not our focus and the band certainly didn't sound as high quality as some of the other music venues we have visited in this city. My shrimp dish was okay, grilled shrimp with garlic, but I felt like the... More

Had a brief break from our convention activities and want to try some BBQ that we heard so much about. The service and prices were good the food ok. The meat flavor was really good, but it was a bit tough. Side dishes were average. Overall, considering the price it was pretty good.

Have only eaten there three times, but looking forward to going back. Loved the shrimp and catfish. Decor is very interesting, always something neat to look out. Very laid back and comfy. Only a block away from the Orpheum so only had to pay to park once then walk to dinner and the theater. Great location for everything on Beale... More

It was a Monday night and they were hopping. My friends and myself lucked out and got in fairly quickly. We had the ribs and steak. There was plenty of food and could have easily shared two meals between the 3 if us. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Love the open view of the kitchen.

Ribs were absolutely wonderful! Fall off the bones! Went twice during Elvis Week, both times late at night. Service was excellent. Apple pie dessert with ice cream!
