It's restaurant was recommended by several bartenders on Beale St. They were right. Definitely NOT fancy. Just great food at fair prices with good service. Don't miss the coconut pie. I went off my low carb diet for it & it was worth it.

I visited the one in Atlanta in Peachtree Center. Every time I come to Atlanta, I have to eat here. The food is homemade and the chicken is crispy and spicy. The plates come with beans and slaw but there is a variety of sides...More

Their spicy fried chicken is unique. The sides were good, too. Good select of craft beers. Quick service.

Went there with a local friend, chicken is fried to order and the taste/flavor was excellent. A little wait but well worth it. We went to the original place, downtown, servers were very nice and prompt to take your order and to refill your drinks....More

If you love Fried chicken with a little kick, this is a must when you are in Memphis. Nothing fanny at all, but when the chicken is this good it does not matter.

I have never had such amazing fried chicken. Midway through the first piece I lost track of everything around me, no exaggeration. My order was take out and they were just as helpful as if I sat down. The framed picture of Big Bird behind...More

We got to Gus's just in time to beat the lunch crowd, but now that we have eaten there we know it is worth waiting for. My two kids devoured their chicken, even though it was a bit spicy for them. We were each able...More

Cute hole in the wall joint with some good fried chicken. Don't come expecting healthy, vegetarian or quick food. Worth the wait and fun to see locals and tourists enjoy the food.

Found this hole in the wall after going to the Civil Rights Museum. It was packed out and had a waiting list. But we didn't wait too long before being seated. It's chicken and only chicken. Very good prices also. The coconut pie was very...More

Had the 3 piece chicken with beans and fries! Cannot fault the taste of the chicken, crispy and juicy and hot! Slightly expensive for fried chicken but worth it.

At Gus's we're all about the food! Gus's restaurants are low-key with a southern flare where you will hear soulful classics emitting from the jukebox. Many people call Gus's a "blues-infused southern eatery." At Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken we focus on the chicken! We begin by using quality chicken which is treated to our special preparation techniques before being marinated in our proprietary batter. Once it's properly fried to a crisp golden-brown, we serve it up with a plate full of southern inspired sides and a cold beer or sweet tea. The result? Customers line up at our door before we're even open!
