Two of us went to the Grove Green last weekend, as we have for the past 15 years. The food is very well prepared. We ordered drinks and main course, but when my vodka gimlet arrived, it lacked the color and aroma of a typical vodka gimlet. I asked for an adjustment of the gimlet portion, and although that was... I live in Memphis. Grove Grill is a go-to place for a pleasant, reliable experience. A lot of local folks go here. I see from the comments that others were disappointed in their choices. To be honest, it has happened to me, too. HOWEVER, BIG QUALIFIER HERE: For the value, the choices and the service, you cannot be disappointed in... More

Went here based on Yelp reviews (won't do that again). Sunday late morning, the place was pretty empty. We were seated quickly. All down-hill from there. We ordered the frittata of the day (crab with white cheddar, tomato, spinach) and the Grove burger. Also an order of biscuits and jelly. The frittata was bland and tasteless. There was no seasoning... More

Tonight was our first outing to Grove Grill but it won't be our last. The attention to detail on the food was great. I had the fried oysters with salad and it was lightly fried to perfection. The pimento cheese appetizer really surpassed me, I was skeptical thinking of the many pimento cheese sandwiches I had eaten as a child... More

The overall experience was great. The restaurant had a Valentine's Day menu 3- course meal for $45. My girlfriend had crab cakes(excellent appetizer), filet mignon w/ potatoes( tender and well seasoned), and dessert sampler( small in size, but big in flavor). I had oysters n artichoke soup( nice and not overpowering in flavor), low country shrimp n grits( they claim... More

Terrible food and service. We had a reservation, they said wait let us check the table real quick and then someone else came in and they gave away our table. It took an extremely long time for them to get a new table. Now the food, the only part that was edible was dessert. The fish that I got tasted... More

The shrimp and grits are their signature dish. White corn grits with house cured tasso ham gravy and plump and tender shrimp, perfectly done. If you haven't tried it yet, start there. Many other items on the menu looked very enticing, such as the wood grilled ribeye steak with truffle fries, sherried mushrooms and fresh arugula. I'm not sure I... More

I eat lunch at the Grove Grill once every month or two. During the last few outings the service has consistently declined. In the most recent experiences I made some simple requests, like when I ordered a salad, I asked that they hold the radishes and put the salad dressing on the side. Both times the salad came dripped in... More

Four of us at at the Grove and had a very good time. The meals included scallops, filet, crabcakes, and salmon. Some also had the grilled peach salad. We all enjoyed the food and said we would be back. The environment was calm and relaxing, but the food came quickly and the service was very good.

Lunch last week will be my last meal at Grove Grill. I went with 5 friends and we will remove Grove Grill from our list of places to lunch. My chicken sandwich came with the tendon still in place (nasty). The chicken appeared to me to be pieces of chicken tenders placed onto sandwich bread. The strongly flavored highly smoked... More
