I always start my consideration of if I'll even go to a new Mexican restaurant is by looking for 1 thing: if they serve lengua. The last thing Memphis needs is another generic "Mexican Restaurant"....I'll never say "I'll have the #4 (you know the one: cheese enchilada, taco (with ground beef in a shell that came out of a box... Always good food at a good price. Open till midnight so a great place for you or late night hunger for Mexican. The neighbourhood could be a little better but we've never had any problems there and you don't go to Taco Bell for good Mexican

The .restaurant is well lit and clean with a large open floor. The decor is not like most Mexican eateries in Memphis, no fake donkey carts or cactus. There were more Mexicans that gringos there so that tells me it is good. The waitress was good, the order was taken, and the drinks, salsa and chips were delivered quickly. The... More

We have heard rave reviews from friends and family about this restaurant for quite some time, and finally got to eat here. Great food at great prices and friendly, attentive service!

Very clean and bright....not the usual dimly lit Mexican restaurant. Authentic Mexican dishes...VERY fresh and quite reasonably priced. It speaks volumes to the quality of the food when the other diners are hispanic and NOT East Memphis hipsters.

Local Mexicans love this place because it tastes like home. Memphians love Guadulapana because it tastes delicious every time! La Guadulapana serves a wide variety of tacos, tortas (sandwiches), specialty drinks (horchata, jamaica, cantaloupe water), pozole (on the weekends), tamales, and so much more. They are relatively cheap. They have plenty of seating for small or large groups. This is... More

A nice local getaway from the nation chain (or even regional chain) Mexican restaurants. Huge, tasty burritos that make a meal for two. Pozole available on the weekends that is definitely worth waiting for.

I went on the hunt for good Mexican food while were on our trip in Memphis and I was not disappointed with la Guadalupana. The horchata was great, the lunch beef fajitas on freshly made corn tortillas were even better. I loved it.
