In these times, having a professional waiter serve you lunch is a real treat. Food was very good quality and surprisingly affordable. Same price for lunch as Panera Bread. If you are tired of feeling like no one cares about service and quality anymore....run to Paulette’s, sit back, relax and let the professionals take care of you. Give them a huge tip for a job well done.

Always dependable great dining experience in this lovely restaurant on Mississppi River. George Falls, owner, has been in restaurant business for years and always there to welcome diners.
Enjoy a drink in the restaurant bar, in the lovely bar area (part of hotel) or on the roof overlooking river, gorgeous Memphis sunsets and exciting lighted bridges across the bridges. Always a beautiful menu..whatever u eat, share a dessert. Our favorite is warm brownie with ice cream n hot fudge sauce. (Hint...ask for extra fudge sauce).

Great food with great service located down by the Mississippi River in Harbor Town.
The redfish with crabmeat and cream sauce accompanied with a garden salad was over-the-top delicious. The freshly made warm rolls are divine. Top the meal off with the strawberry crepe (banana crepe is available if you notify them in advance), don't forget the bread pudding is also perfection.

My wife and I took a weekend in Memphis and stayed at the River Inn which houses Paulette's. The visit was not a great one. We were held in their waiting area for 40 minutes after our reservation time due to "staffing issues". Once seated our waiter was great but obviously stressed and overwhelmed. We informed him that we were not in an hurry just looking forward to a great meal. We ordered a nice bottle of Silver Oak Cab, which was the highlight of the meal / night. I ordered Crab cakes for a starter and my wife ordered the wedge salad. The salad came out warm and without blue cheese crumbles. My crab cakes were small and cold, it appeared they sat for awhile in the kitchen. For the main dish I ordered the Paulette's Filet while my wife ordered the regular filet. Neither meal was very good. My wife's filet was a poor cut, tough and stringy. The Paulette's filet was drowning in a butter cream sauce that was cool and badly flavored.
I am sure this restaurant was good in its prime but appears to be declining. The general upkeep was substandard for a restaurant of this price range. There was notable dust on the paintings and fixtures and the carpet was stained in several places. We felt sorry for the wait staff as they were trying very hard to make the experience a good one but could not keep up. A gentleman who appeared to be a manager was seen scowling and very disinterested in helping out. I can not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are many fine places in Memphis and I would say fine one, not this one.

Terrific, interesting food, not just your usual corporate menu. We had red fish with crab, filet, filet burger, key lime pie --everything was excellent, well presented, very high quality and compared to L.A. the prices seemed quite reasonable. If I was at the hotel for a week I doubt I would eat anywhere else unless I could find a down low rib/blues joint in a bad part of town.

Great dinner at Paulette's in the River Inn at Harbor Town, Memphis. Service by Matt was very good. Ambiance is fine dining intimate.
We began with a cheese board and cocktails. Ony disappointing surprise for the night was a $24 Hendricks Martini (at least it was delicious) - about the price of each entree! Even our server was surprised when he saw the price (Hendricks on the rocks is $12) and said he asked the bartender to be sure. Other than that gouge, the rest of their prices were very reasonable for fine dining (e.g., Maker's on the rocks only $9.50 and a good pour).
Next was an excellent wedge salad, followed by delicious entrees of Herb Chicken and Salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and highly recommended. For dessert we had the chocolate decadence cake (more like fudge, but very tasty).

Stayed at the hotel for a night for what was supposed to be a special occasion- booked dinner here as reviews are outstanding. Showed up for 715 rez and was told it would be a few minutes, which is fine. Watched several people come in after us and be seated. Inquired and was told they thought we were waiting for an Uber? Finally got sat 15 minutes later which started the night on a sour note. To make things worse, 20 minutes after being sat we still had no server. I flagged down a server and asked if we could get a server and she was super apologetic and took care of us herself. Her service was amazing and we appreciated her efforts. The food was very good, the filet had a wonderful sauce and the salmon was tasty. Unfortunately the beginning of the evening ruined the vibe and made it less special for us. They did throw in free dessert but still left us feeling bad about the experience. Went down for breakfast next morning and had a great server named George. Super nice guy but the breakfast itself was underwhelming. Expected so much more from this place. Probably would not return- even though food for dinner was good.

Paulette's is connected to the River Inn. We went on a Monday and had to do some fancy talking to get a reservation. The reason was on Mondays they have a fixed price 3 course menu for $19. The food is exceptional. My wife had the 3 course menu (cauliflower soup, beef stroganoff, and strawberry crepe) and it was very good (other option was salmon btw). I had the redfish and it may have been the best redfish I have tasted. We started with the deviled eggs and they were very good as well. Fantastic service from Alan. Also enjoyed our drinks at the small bar in advance. Fun evening.

Tried to celebrate our 30th anniversary at Paulette's and it was terrible. Asked for a special table and was seated next to a 6 year old throwing French Fries. Asked for new table and was seated by couple in T-shirts and shorts. Waiter was inattentive, then argumentative, then rude. Filet Paulette's, the house specialty, was ordered Medium but served to me Raw. My wife's $42 fish entrée came with no more than 2 oz of fish. No one ever acknowledged our anniversary despite the fact that I communicated it with the reservation and reminded them when we walked in. Menu was limited, terribly executed and the wine list was a joke. You want a nice, romantic dinner with outstanding food and service? Go to Flight.

I am not typically a cranky customer and I am rarely combative. However, when we recently went to Paulette’s for a celebratory dinner, the waiter was so rude and condescending about our wine selection that it ruined the evening.
Notwithstanding the fact that the Filet Paulette Filet was a little underdone - rare instead of medium rare - and the deviled eggs were unremarkable, the food was excellent. Hence two stars instead of one. But the service was initially slow, and when he finally arrived the waiter’s attitude was atrocious. It ruined the meal. I have not been so disrespected by waitstaff since an incident in Newport in 1976. He never bothered to introduce himself, or I would mention him by name. Perhaps he was more used to addressing his customers with the phrase, “Do you want fries with that?”
We have eaten at Paulette’s before and we have enjoyed it. But there is no shortage of fine dining establishments in Memphis, so I doubt that we will go back and subject ourselves to that abuse. Next time we will go to Flight or Itta Bena.

We have been to Paulette's numerous times to celebrate special occasions.
This was the kind of place that you could make memories. Not so much now.
The evening started our well. We arrive early for our reservation, and were
seated promptly. That's were the good service ended. We had asked about
bringing our own bottle of wine prior to making the reservation and was
informed that we could and the corkage fee was reasonable ($15).
Once seated, it took quite a while before we were greeted by a server and
given menus. I received a different menu then my husband and therefore
not give the same choices for dinner. (We did not realize we were reading
from different menus.) I even asked the server why the choices seemed
so foreign? She said they were trying to adjust the menu to what was
more traditional to Paulette's. They did start us with Popovers and flavored
butter, which is a Paulette's tradition and delicious. Then there was long
wait before our order was taken for dinner. We were also waiting on the
server to open our wine that we brought with us to celebrate our 40th
wedding anniversary. She was not prepared to uncork our wine and asked
another server to help. He came to table side to help, but ended up breaking the cork off in our very special and expensive wine. Very
disappointing to say the least. We ordered glasses of wine from their
menu and were not offered any compensation for their error. Once we
ordered, our entrees came in a timely manner and were quite tasty.
My husband ordered the redfish and I ordered the salmon. Both were
very tasty and cooked well. The sides were nothing special and the
veggies on the side were over salted.
We were offer a complimentary dessert as it was our anniversary.
We will find somewhere else to make memories. . .So disappointing.

We enjoyed a great meal for my birthday dinner last Monday evening. The food was full of flavor and so delicious! Our server was friendly, courteous, and attentive. (Thank you, Richard!) I enjoyed the fillet of sole with crab meat, and some among our group of nine enjoyed the pork tenderloin with asparagus. We will come back soon!

Very nice. Parking was a bit of a challenge with a little walk. Nice ambiance. We had dinner. Expected the shrimp and spinach crepes to be mixed not one shrimp and one spinach. But okay. The hot chocolate dessert crepe is really vanilla ice cream in a crepe with some chocolate sauce. Not what I was expecting. Good evening. Enjoyed it.

Beautiful place, fancy enough to be special but friendly enough to be comfortable. The food is great but the service is what makes Paulette's stand out, all seem to enjoy their jobs and it shows in their attitudes. Paige served our lunch yesterday and she is a delight.
