The beef ribs here are the size of your arm. I eat ribs all the time and I have NEVER seen anything like "em. We ordered a slab (which the two of us can usually easily put down) but we couldn't finish them.
I loved the unique BBQ sauce and would have probably given the restaurant a higher rating if the meat would have been more tender. We got there late at night, right before closing time, so that might have been part of the problem.
We also got a few sausage links to try... and let me tell you... it was some of THE BEST BBQ sausage I've ever had! That alone would encourage me to go there again.

Interstate Barbecue has a decor like no other, needs updated. Covid protocol, good staff, menu BBQ, star is BBQ spaghetti, spare ribs. Customers 80% locals evenly split on gender, maybe a few more female, medium age 50.

Stopped to get take-out for dinner. Woman taking our order was very grumpy. Or order was incorrect. We got beans instead of potato salad. When opened our sandwiches, the slaw was on the bottom, then meat, no sauce. The slaw totally wetted down the bun. Everyone knows meat goes first, then slaw and sauce. So the bun fell apart trying to eat the sandwich.
We liked the slaw, the beans, and the meat. But the way it had been put together took away from our enjoyment of the meal.
We went to the location on Stateline Road in Memphis/Southaven. Decor is not inviting for seated dining. This place needs to spruce up.

GREAT Take away BBQ. It was the most food we ate on our trip, very delicious (especially the pulled pork and the baked beans!) and the least expensive meal we had. Ordered ala carte (instead of family meal), had 2 lb meat, 2 sides, 4 buns- $36

This is the one place we travel across town to get the pork or beef rib tips. They have the big dinner, which is meat and two sides with bread. It’s enough for two. They have plenty of meat for the Keto lifestyle. Right off the expressway at the Thord street exit. Well worth the trip. Ladies working the drive through is cool too.

Definitely one of the top barbecue joints in Memphis. I recommend their sampler for two people (just $22) which gets you pork ribs, beef ribs, pork shoulder, beef shoulder and a bunch of sides including barbecued spaghetti.
Memphis is popularly known for its dry rub, but spicy saucy is also big and that’s what you get here. All were meaty and fresh with good char.
This is a no frills place as it should be if you are here for the meat. We’ll done!

Interstate has long been one of my favorite restaurants to visit when coming to Memphis. The food and service has always been good. But last night that wasn’t the case. I took members of my family for what I promised would be a great meal. However the only thing good about the food was the rib tips. The fries were soggy and the 3 wing plates we ordered were hard and dry. I know it was 9:30 when we went and they closed at 10:00. But I would have preferred they tell me they were out of wings instead of selling me 3 plates of uneditable wings. To add to that, two of my daughters asked if they could use the restroom. They were told no because they had already mopped that side of the restaurant. One of my daughters offered to mop he tracks and he still said no. To pay as much as we did for food and it be horrible and be denied the use of a restroom. I don’t think I’ll go back.

Ridiculous wait and dine in is closed at the Third St location. The line is backed up on the street. I try to patronize businesses in my neighborhood but it never fails Smh. Southaven is always on the ball and the manager at that location is awesome but you shouldn't have to drive to the suburbs for good service. It's sad. I'll go to Corky's next time

Waited long time to go there and it was worth the wait. Barbeque was great and finally got to try bbq spaghetti since seeing it on travel channel and it did not disappoint. Bought some sauce and brought home with me.

Use to be the place to each lunch.The Food I order was cold. Very disappointed with everything. Customer service is slow.as well the as paying for the food too .employees on the phone. The place needs some major renovations.

Was on this side of town for business. bought a family pack (8 pack) to take home. Was a total waste of money. Went through the drive through at around 3pm. had to wait for anyone to notice i was there. bought the pack, paid just over $26.00 for it after tax. How dry can BBQ get? is inedible without a ton of sauce. No moisture what so ever, dry, dry, dry. what a disappointment.

Brazing hot in Memphis during August. Needed my fix of ribs and side.
The ribs were so good I had them twice. Perfectly cooked and a good sauce.
The beans were excellent. Slaw and potato salad are average.
Plus these were cheap dinners. Well worth the stop.

This was definitely a "hole in the wall" looking establishment. Would never have thought to try it, but did so on the recommendation of a local. It did not disappoint! Cheap eats, no healthy redeemable qualities, but the food was great. Your taste buds will be delighted.

We had gotten a recommendation of this place from a police officer. Needless to say, we were sadly disappointed. We ordered ribs and got a side of onion rings. The onion rings didn't seem home made. More like frozen. The ribs were old and didn't taste that good. We took them left over. But ended up throwing them away. Wished we had given them to the homeless man that approached us in the parking spot of the restaurant. This city has gone down hill. So sad! We handed out water and gatorade.
