Good fried chicken...a little spicy for me, but tolerable. Beans were good. Mac’n’cheese was ok, but my wife really liked it.

Stopped on our way back from vacation as seen from reviews it was a good place to stop. We were not disappointed. The chicken was juicy. Had the sides of baked beans, coleslaw and mac and cheese. It was all good and if we ever...come back we will definitely stop again.More

Waited 1½ hours and never received our meal. The waiter was all over the place and took forever to even get a water refill. We decided to leave since we drove 3 hours to try this "famous" place out. When leaving the manager took their...sweet time ringing up the drinks and didn't even have the audacity to come and apologize or tell us what was the hold up. I understand things happens but their communication on their behave just sucked!!!! Not even worth the one star.More

Had the chicken, which was very good, but a tad bit spicy for me. It was a really laid back restaurant. Staff was friendly and quick!

Everyone talks highly of this chicken, we decided to try it. I love spicy chicken, it was crunchy on outside, juicy in the inside, with a spicy aftertaste. I enjoyed that this quick service restaurant has waitstaff, offering free refills. Personally, I did not care...for my sides, next time I will just ordered the dark meat chicken. The legend is true, fantastic chicken!More

Went to the Gus’s in Bartlett. Was petty busy but only a ten minute wait on a table. Tried the two piece white dinner with Cole slaw and the okra. Slaw was above average and the okra was excellent. Great service on refills and the...chicken had the right kick to it. It sneaks up on you which is nice. Great flavor and I can u see stand why they say it’s world famous! Would definitely eat there again if one is in the area.More

After learning about gus’s world famous chicken we just had to go . It doesn’t look much on the outside but as soon as you open the door the place is buzzing with people and music. We were lucky enough for the last table for...two, my wife and I both had the two piece chicken with fries beans and coleslaw. The chicken was too spicy for the wife , but for me it was delicious , cooked fresh, crispy and tasty, if you like your chicken spicy this is the best one to come to. Loved it.More

The food was fine, but everything was served on styrofoam and plastic - including cups and cutlery. Kind of a cheap feeling experience. It's time they hired a dishwasher and bought real dishes.

Used Trip Advisor to find this place, we were visiting Memphis. The reviews were good so we took a chance. We were treated so good, server “Maria” was incredible, she knew what you wanted before you did. Food is very good, a little spicy but...for those who do not do spice (like us) we managed and actually ate the whole thing. Fast service, friendly people and nice atmosphere, not fancy but nice.More

My last meal in Memphis before I fly back home, I decided to visit the location in East Memphis instead of the one downtown (avoided the ridiculous parking). I kept hearing about this place and wanted to see if it lives up to the hype....A low key restaurant. I ordered the 3 piece dark meat plate, and it was out in minutes extremely hot probably just out of the fryer. It was delicious. Crispy with a little bit of spice. My server was prompt in refilling my drink. If you're in Memphis, you have to eat here!More

Not hot spicy. Just a little taste kick (maybe paprika?) Love this chicken and I don't like real spicy.
