My kids love their pancakes and the sweet potato pancakes are my favorite! Very friendly and food cooked to order. Nearby park makes for a nice walk or playground for the kids after breakfast or lunch. They close at 2pm so not open for dinner.
My wife and I visited the restaraunt for breakfast hoping for a great breakfast. We sat down and were offered water by a young man that appeared to mumble. We however, just sat and waited for someone to take our order. No one took our...order after what we considered a lengthy time. We decided to leave the restaraunt after our wait when we realized a couple at a booth when we walked had not yet given their order. Although we walked out when we realized our order was not likely to be taken in reasonable time , the kicker was how dirty the windows appeared to be. Too bad this new restaraunt did not make an initial good impression. We really wanted a new good breakfast place in the neighborhood. We do not have high expectations by the restaurants we frequent.
We went to a nearby sit down restaraunt the promptly took our order and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. Too bad. More good restaurants make for a better neighborhood . We will not give this restaraunt a second chance.More
Eager to try the new place we went there for our weekly Saturday morning date.
When we walked in it was muggy and coolish. We figured we probably should have sat towards the back rather than in the first few tables. (They we're close to...the griddle.) It got more and more uncomfortable as time progressed.
Service was ok, but the young man was most uneasy in his position. We gathered that he was probably a relative with little or no training or people skills. He hardly smiled. In fact, he looked scared to death.
I had to send back my undercooked sausage. When I couldn't get our server's attention, I put the sausage on my coffee saucer and took it to the gal at the cash register. I asked that they please cook it a little longer. I sat down.
I continued to eat. The plate sat by the register and the young lady never made any attempt to mention to the cook about my sausage. So. I got up again. I retrieved my little plate and walked over to the lady in charge to ask that they please cook my sausage a bit longer. (I'm really not into med-rare sausage.)
Then, I sat back down and sopped my too runny eggs with under toasted bread while I waited for my sausage. It finally came, well cooked, while I was trying the tasteless sweet potato pancakes.
I mean, it's really hard to screw up breakfast. But, they managed.
Plus, we were both sweating by the time we were done.
We were very disappointed and are calling it a true twofer!More
Stopped of for eggs & bacon breakfast. "Bud's Breakfast also included a choice of pancakes/waffle/biscuits/hashbrown. At $8.99 possibly could have got better value at a chain place. Service was prompt. Next to a BP gas station. They still have the old sign up from the...previous place. Hours are more limited now so call to check. Nice friendly staff. Food was cooked to order.More
