I cannot begin to explain how disappointed I am in Mahogany Memphis. My family and I visited the restaurant on 3/6/21 around 11:15AM. The ambiance was nice, but the service we received was unacceptable. The waiter suggested that I get the Chicken, which consisted of...a breast and a wing. I was leaning towards dark meat, but the waiter stated that white was more fulfilling. I agreed to order the breast and wing. When my plate arrived, the waiter stated that they were out of breast and only had two VERY small wings and barely 4oz's of a side. My 4 year old child's plate had more food than mine. After sitting there a few more minutes a family member, whom was at another table, indeed was served Nice size breast and wing and more than a 4oz side. My I complained to waiter, whom was in quite disbelief that we would call her out on it. She then argued that the breast was not ready at the time I ordered. I would have waited, but was lied to saying that they did not have any. Now on to my complaint. We asked for a manager, but was told, the manager is to busy to visit us. I told the waiter that we would wait. After boxing up our order, the "manager" came and was nonchalant and rude to us. My wife informed her what had taken place and she basically gave us an oh well, what do you want me to do attitude. To calm things down, I asked the "Manager" whom I was shocked is a manager, How can you make this right? She offered to take $1!!!! off our bill or bring us a breast, which we was about to leave. The "Manager" was not presenting herself as a manger, so I declined and informed her that I would not let this go. I informed her that I feel that my portion ($15) should be forgiven. She then said that Mahogany, does not comp anything! I could have went to KFC and got a more fulfilling meal for $4-$5. Mahogany definitely needs help in management and customer service. We deserve an apology, as my wife was very upset about the experience.More

A friend and I visited this restaurant to support black businesses week for 2020. were so disappointed in the fact, they didn't have enough servers. So,it took a while for us to get service. But, one of the most disappointing things was they added GRATUITY...in on our ticket for a party of 2 people!! Then, when we paid....the ticket had another place for us to pay GRATUITY again. I feel like, that should be a suggestion at the bottom of the ticket. But, NOT added onto the total amount owed.More

Amazing brunch at Mahogany. I had the Mahogany breakfast; it was amazing. Raymond’s service was top notch. The music was great! I’d go back many times. The owner even came out and introduced herself.

Great atmosphere and service. Delicious food and cocktails. The live music was a definite plus. I will return on my next trip to Memphis.

Recently visited this restaurant for a night out with friends. The staff seems very unorganized and slow. Every item took forever to come to the table (especially the drinks). The food was absolutely great, definitely no complaints in that area. When we received the checks...they were wrong and had to be corrected several times. I hope this restaurant continues to improve because it could be a nice gem once the kinks are worked out.More

My daughter and I had lunch at the Mahogany restaurant last Saturday. Our reception by the hostess was warm and sincere. The chairs and the table were comfortable and inviting. The soft white cloth napkins were soft and generously large. The menu is wonderfully varied....There is an enviable selection of fish and crustaceans I had the seafood gumbo as a starter and I had the crab bisque. Very generously served and delicious. For my main dish I chose ox tails with stoneground grits. The oxtails were prepared with a magnificent gravy and so tender the meat separated from the bone with only the slightest effort. There more than enough for me to take home and enjoy my dinner. My daughter add a shrimp play with stoneground grits and it was also delicious. We have a slight regret that we were so full and satisfied that we could not enjoy a dessert. We know that they will be delicious in our next visit......SoonMore

Went to the restaurant with my family to celebrate Fathers Day. First time visit - was quoted a half hour wait time; watched as far my after family with NO reservation come in and get seated (overheard the greetings when they walked up to ask...about seating opportunities). I will NEVER return to this unpleasant and unprofessionally run outfit. I frequently visit restaurants as I travel around the US and Europe often. This place lost a potential customer and ambassador. They have however gained a critic. Pass this place up at all costs.More

Chef Hudson and the 2 ladies I met while dining was a treat. The hostess was beautiful and polite. Now to the food, I had the oxtails. The oxtails came with grits and I added brussel sprouts. Scrumptious is an understatement. Try Mahogany's your 1st...opportunity. This is a wonderful cozy restaurant. If you go another day without eating here your punishing yourself. 🤗😘More
